Interestingly, looks like the sides are red too, unlike the white where the sides are black.

Do you think the red will be a soft-touch 'rubber' material like the black or a more plasticky material, like on the white?

Exactly wish Google did the same with the white version.

I'm not aware if the back will be soft touch rubber...I've just ordered the 32gb version as I couldn't resist

the power button on my nexus 5 has stopped working :/

this a common problem ? searches just lead me to the 'loose' power button. it also has that problem...

what are my rights with CPW ? im probably just within my 30 days , instant replacement instore ?

If you are within your 30 days just take it in. I had a fault develop on my last phone, I took it back and got an exchange straight away, no questions asked.

It will certainly be interesting to hear the opinions of someone who actually has a red one in their hands... as it were!

A lot of Nokia Windows phone users have gone for the red version, so perhaps the red Nexus 5 will popular also... we will see!
