take the back off (search for Nexus 5 teardown) and press the power button on the PCB manually?
Ah but black sides? Nice. On the review that's under the heading "notification led" so why is the cut out on the official flip case there and not where the led is?
end of Feb a bunch of stuff will be announced. GS5, Nokia Android phone and other stuff. Don't care though, all I want is nexus nexus nexus anal nexus nexus nexus.
I wouldn't consider any android phone now unless it was a nexus![]()
What's to stop other manufactures offer a stock experience?
Nokia Android? I thought they were in bed with Microsoft.
Any phones, in the next few months launching in the same price category?
Nokia has forked Android and made it look somewhat like Metro, it well be a super low end device IIRC.
24 error - only call for it is a reset
MS and Android have already created a dual operating system (or one that runs in parallel) so I don't see why Nokia wouldn't want to do an android based system.
In other news, I've got the dreaded Error installing app -24 error - only call for it is a reset, and I've just got the phone the way I want it :'(
Ah well.
So is the battery universally pants on this, or have I got a dud? Off charge at 7am, 2 hours of music. Occasional use a couple of times during the day, 2 hours music and browsing on the way home and it's at 11% already. Same story yesterday.
Its barely any better than my old phone which was coming to the end of the life of its second battery.
Some people swear by Qualcom Battery Guru app to help battery life.
Cheers. Ill take a look.
you can delete the /data/data/appnamehere stuff to resolve it. I've had the same issue before and this fixed it.
backup launcher etc? and reset and restore?
It basically just puts your device to sleep and wakes it ever X mins to get data. If your a heavy messaging type of person the affects will vary or for example you will get your FB/Whatsapp messages ever 15mins.
I'm not a heavy anything user really, which is why I'm disappointed in the battery. 2 hours of of music and browsing each way on my commute and for the rest of the day it sits on my desk doing nothing except pinging for the occasional Hangouts message or email. And after all that I'm usually down to 10% battery when I get home, which is frankly poor.
If the battery degrades over time, like I expecct it too, then in a year I can see it not making it through a day without an extra charge.
