*** Nexus 5 THE Official Thread ***

@-Mike- You can also get the 32Gb variant from Handtec if you're willing to pay slightly more.

Red and White variants are even cheaper £317.99

Be worth finding out who handles the warranty with them. As Google do door stop replacement. Carphone warehouse for example send them to LG. Worth having Google as your warranty provider by using the play store.

Can't make my mind up on a 16GB or 32GB

I only fill it full of crap if I have more space :p

what's the price difference and what sort of data do you have in your sim allowance?

i would never watch movies on such a small screen so the only media is really music and if you have unlimited data, it's worth maybe just paying for spotify premium rather than for the extra 16GB or even just using free spotify tbh.

only problem would be when your in a no signal area with free spotify as premium allows you to download music which you could do with your top 20 or whatever.

If there is a 4.5 launching in June during the Google I/O conference, we will not see 4.4.3 before then.

God knows, so 4.4.3 was apparently delayed as they found an issue, according to someone at sprint network in USA, as sprint customers were set to get the upgrade first.

4.4.3 was again apparently a bug fix mainly aimed at the nexus range.

i hear we have a new play-store and dialer coming soon, with these new style flat icons so maybe these bug fixes will be bundled and we get a 4.5

i doubt we will get a whole new version and naming convention though

To be fair it's games (for the kids) and my music, I sometimes steam Youtube content but I'm on a unlimited package with EE so thats not an issue, all I worry about is my photos (which sync to Dropbox) so I think the 16 will suffice If I'm honest

Hey guys! First post and in no place better than the OFFICIAL NEXUS 5 THREAD! I've been lurking for a while now and I've been in love with the Nexus 5 ever since I laid eyes on it. I'm finally in a position to buy the phone but was wondering whether a contract would work well instead (my dad thinks so), as opposed to a SIM-only thing. Any thoughts/offers known would be welcome. I'm leaning towards the latter though.

I had a GOOD feel of the phone in CPW (don't worry, nothing dirty :p) and will definitely go with the black one - probably the 32GB mostly because I thought "hmmm, why not?". Also to future-proof it somewhat. It's been a long journey but it is finally within my grasp!
