I'll agree to this. I use "My Tracks" on my phone. The phone is in a leather case and sits in the tray behind my handbrake. Always locks on within a minute and tracks flawlessly
Stock software.

I saw the parking card pop up this weekend when I had parked my car somewhere and then went off on foot. I was impressed it knew automatically where I had parked the car.
4.4.3 coming next Friday so they say...

that has not been fixed and is in the change log for 4.4.3
the hiss is dependent on background noise
try filming with a tv in the background certainly still there for me

It does on mine, on my google now page which is the left one.
It knows when you have been driving and when you stopped and got out and started walking probably using stuff like GPS, accelerometer, gyroscope, etc to detect movement.
Don't think it would work well say in a huge indoor multi storey car park, but handy if your parking in a huge car park say at alton towers or at a concert hall or events arena, etc.
I was just surprised when I saw it at first then at how accurate it was. I suppose it helps if you use google now a lot, the more you use it the better it gets. I have home, work, gym, friends/relatives houses all saved on it, etc. Basically anywhere I visit frequently.
