Got my mom a Moto G, its actual a really solid device, camera was pretty bad but the rest is awesome. Very smooth, feels nice, great size.

I've lost count how many people told me they bought one after watching my review. Amazing value. As said, just the camera is disappointing. The Moto E on the other hand, proper budget device.

Currently in the US and thinking of picking up an unlocked Nexus 5, I have a virgin pay as you go sim on my current phone. Will there be any issues using it in the UK?

I guess if you want protection you have to put up with some "bulk" in the case. I'd love something which was as thin as claimed by many of the case makers that looked good and added next to nothing to the dimensions of the phone.

I guess I'll keep on using it "naked". I've only ever dropped one phone - my HTC Desire a few years back and thankfully that survived.
The N5 is just too good looking to place in a case which hides it away and the ones that don't hide it seem to add far too much bulk.

The problem is the camera though. It protrudes so you need a case really.

Ahhh, my USB port is going crazy again, just won't charge, tried to USB wall sockets, portable charger and no luck. Looks like I need to go back to Google and make a fuss.

Sure there's no dirt in the socket? If you can give it a good blast of compressed air.

They won't care. They send you one out first. So just copy over and may as well unroot / lock

That was easier then I thought, just phoned up and told him the problem and he agreed to send out a replacement right away. Pretty excellent service.

Yes it is. They pre auth the card and give you two weeks to get the old one back to them.

Yup just got my email. I was pleasantly surprised as my GF brought the phone for me and they even change me to be the owner during the process. When I had issues with my Nexus 4 it was horrible but Google support is so much better now.

It did ask me to pay but like you said its should refund me so will see.

Yeah its just a pre auth.. The money will be ring fenced and then the captute will be cancelled when you return the old device.

Thanks for all the help man. Just got my confirmation stating that. Should be shipped on the 26th so I will get it on Wednesday, sent it to work so I don't miss it.

Don't really have a huge amount on my phone since I switched to Android L so I will just backup my few apps, wipe, and go back to 4.4.4.
