*** Nexus 5 THE Official Thread ***

My nexus 5 yesterday had 63% of battery before me going to bed checking what time it is and today in the morning the battery drained to 0% and I was unable to turn it on. It's charging now, but this is very strange... I don't have time to play around with it now, but I'll try to find out the cause later :o

P.s. Did anyone has ever came across something like this? Is it possible that the battery just died?

Hard to judge if it is a one off. Could have been a process or app leak / error.

With the new security hype from Apple and Google it is basically confirmed that L is dropping enxt month, I would expect at least a new Phone/Tablet since Google is really pushing to make a bigger splash in the pool. I would expect a Nexus 5 2014/x/6/whatever and a Nexus 9 next month.

This happened to a few Nexus 4 devices that I use at work. Giving them a full charge brought them back to life. It only happened once so hopefully it will be the same with your N5.

I charged it up to 80%, as I didn't have time for more since I need my phone through out the day. But I'll play around with it and empty out the battery in-till the phone turn off and charge it to 100% overnight. The phone is insured and within 24h I can get a replacement, but I'll try that thing first.

P.s. Soo far it works and the battery usage is normal.

Cheers Mate!

If the report's true then I'll be keeping my N5. It's fine for everything else except the battery. I don't need the latest chip set all I want is timely updates which the Nexus range get and a decent battery life.

Another factor in possibly putting off a N6 purchase is if the N6 ends up being the 5.9" monster that people are reporting it to be.
