*** Nexus 5 THE Official Thread ***

If it adds an hour under use that's a huge improvement as I find while travelling the battery gets crushed pretty quickly.

When I'm travelling I find its more radio that kills the battery then anything else, I was traveling for work on last week London -> Leeds, meetings/lunch then Leeds -> London. I kept the device on airplane mode outside of cities and I had 40% when I reached home.

I was thinking of getting a xperia Z3 or Z3c or maybe even the new nexus (if any good....) but if android L gives us a number of nice improvements especially battery life (which I already find really good), I might just hold of for the time being!

Any camera improvements in terms of features or/and quality?

after 3 months and a little bit i finally got my nexus 5 repaired and back to me. well i say my nexus 5 but it says new mainboard and new case on the receipt

the worst customer service ive ever experienced but having it back has reminded me how cheap feeling the samsung s4 ive been using is

ive was thinking about iphone6 from the moment the nexus originally broke but theres no chance ill be moving yet.

anyone got a link for the quickest/easiest way to root ? cant remember what method i used before. i know its not a carry on like with the s4/kies etc though is it?

The Dolphin update has started hammering my battery! 40% of my battery today has been used by browsing the web for just 90 minutes :(. Anyone else seen this? I'm going to have to uninstall the update.

Edit: Argh! I can't as it looks like it's replaced the whole app so there's no option to remove updates!

Oh dear, had my N5 since release but the vibration motor seems to be dead. Just died this morning. Waiting on Google support to respond, texting without haptic feedback is a pain. Tried everything I can think of/ find on the web to no avail. This phone ain't vibrating no more.

Even on this forum? I can't stand the random text scaling!

the scaling for me and my use is only an issue on ocuk, on forum i use. it does bug me and i am confused why it is not fixed, but yeah stayed with chrome as it is all synced with my pc chrome and work chrome.

thats a bugger, call google and they will get a replacement out, they will want you to wipe it first as a test, not sure if you have done that or not?

What's their warranty like? I know Googles is fairly good

Am not sure but it certainly won't be as good as Google's, considering they're willing to send you another device and put a charge on your card until you send the defective device back if it ever comes to that.
