I've flashed back to 4.4.4 tonight, will go in to work tomorrow morning, join it up to the network as expected, then do a sideload to 5.0 as apparently that keeps hold of the file/setting needed to work, something we lost when flashed factory image and did a full wipe.

Thats exactly what I've just done! Will wait patiently for OTA.
 
When I backedup my sms updated to Lollipop and restored my sms, all went peachy.

Now, Ive done the same process but with Kit Kat and my sms are not only missing my MMS (pretty sure I choose to save them and restore) and browsing my sms caused my phone to freeze up.

Just done a factory reset and try again.... otherwise looks like I lost my MMS messages.

Oh well seems my MMS have been bodged up after all. The images are missing and when i click on the empty space it freezes devices....

Not a massive issue to lose the images, but it was historical stuff. Things I'll never get back. :(

A year in and not one rom has interested me. On previous phones I'd be changing roms daily at some point! I've always liked base Android though, so that's the kind of rom I always tended to end up sticking with.
 
Is anyone having issues with the camera and face unlock?

Mine frequently doesn't work. When I notice the face unlock doesn't work I'll go into the camera and it'll say "Can't connect to camera". There's another problem when trying to improve the face unlock, it'll get stuck at "launching" - which I guess is trying to access the camera.

A reboot solves it but it happens frequently.

I've done a factory reset but it's had no effect :(

Well there's 3 of us at home with Nexus 5s. Last night my wife got the OTA and is now happily using Lollipop. No sign for our other 2 phones though. Hopefully not too long.

same main reason i stopped using cynogen mod. was the Barclays App it's too damned useful
 
Gone back to 4.4.4 due to WiFi issue.

Lost SMS/MMS due to corrupt backup. :(

Worked perfect when I first done it during move to 5. But from 5 back to Kit Kat and my SMS/MMS is missing images and causing freezing.

Hoping now that I'm on Kit Kat and connected to corporate network, when I upgrade to Lollipop it will preserve connection.

Anyone have an easy guide to side loading from 4.4.4 to 5?
