Gone back to 4.4.4 due to WiFi issue.

Lost SMS/MMS due to corrupt backup. :(

Worked perfect when I first done it during move to 5. But from 5 back to Kit Kat and my SMS/MMS is missing images and causing freezing.

Hoping now that I'm on Kit Kat and connected to corporate network, when I upgrade to Lollipop it will preserve connection.

Anyone have an easy guide to side loading from 4.4.4 to 5?

Sideloaded earlier at work, seemed to jump on the corporate wifi straight away, managed to reboot numerous times, airplane mode on and off and always jumped on. Sideloaded another colleagues and his didn't - but I sideloaded over the top of a fresh 4.4.4 with nothing much on other than it being joined to the wifi where as he sideloaded over the top of an old 4.4.4 install. I'll check what it's like tomorrow and report back, as it usually failed for me when roaming between AP's.

In terms of side-load, nice easy guide:

Lollipop on Nexus 5 is -738 and the one in your link is -034. You know that right ? Or am I missing something :)

Apologies, incorrect link. I've corrected it in my post.

I just know I side loaded OTA the other night. I've now installed -438 and I now have the trusted location setting, which works!

Clarification:

-438 build is brand new and contains the trusted location setting. But there still seems to be confusion of where the -7xx version is. I got lucky I guess!

*edit*

To figure out the right version of Google Play Services for your Android device, go to Settings -> Apps -> Google Play services, and look at the last 3 numbers in the parentheses. You'll see something like -XYY where X is 0 for pre-Lollipop and both 4 and 7 for Lollipop+, and YY is a specific variant id. -738 means you need the APK that has -738, etc.
The types are:

Version number has -X10 - universal armeabi CPU
Version number has -X12 - 160 DPI & armeabi CPU
Version number has -X14 - 240 DPI & armeabi CPU
Version number has -X30 - universal armeabi-v7a CPU
Version number has -X32 - 160 DPI & armeabi-v7a CPU
Version number has -X34 - 240 DPI & armeabi-v7a CPU
Version number has -X36 - 320 DPI & armeabi-v7a CPU
Version number has -X38 - 480 DPI & armeabi-v7a CPU
Version number has -X46 - 320 DPI & arm64-v8a CPU
Version number has -X70 - x86 CPU

The above is version -738
