I have had 5.1 on since it came out and haven't seen any problems so far
but then 5/5.01 all work ok here also

I had problems since lolipop 5 upto 5.01 as I gave up and went back to CM.The battery life is better, the phone is getting higher score in benchmarks by nearly 2k points in overall score and CM has options which IMO should have been by stock on 4.4.4 Kitkat. I found 4.4.2 and 4.4.4 to be the best so far in terms of performance and stability.

P.s. If anyone use cyanogenmod ROM on their phone than you may have to set up the APN, as the standard one's aren't up to date. I had this issue as I'm on P2G SIM and the APN was setup for mobile.o2.co.uk, but not the data works without any issues. :)

No it is the same Material Design UI.

Still no silent mode :(

You mean the 'Quiet Hours' thing that's similar to HTC's don't disturb mode?

Anyone using CM, what run time do you use? ART or Dalvik? I usually set mine to ART, so far didn't have any issues. I had some issues with 1 GPS app which was carp anyway...

The Priorities volume modes are so simple a lobotomised orangutan could use them once you have set them up.

As for ugly interface, there may be some parts which feel like a step backwards, but for the most part Lollipop is a definite improvement over Kit Kat.

Silent mode made so much more sense. It made everything silent, rather than the new way of somewhat silencing certain things. It also silences alarms for no apparent reason.

locked i beleive. i used towelroot to root my n5 on 4.4.4 without wiping data. when it updated to 5.0 i lost root access though some apps still think i have it such as the barclays app, so now i have no benefits of root and all the disadvantages. for various reasons i can't wipe the data on some apps. if i have root i can back up the data and then wipe.

actually it seems nexus toolkit can back up each apps data. how reliable is this likely to be? I have backed up netflix for instance, if i go put 5.1 (might go with CyanogenMod 5.0.1) and unlock bootloader, will restoring the netflix app data work and give me access back?

Now I am debating whenever I should go stock kitkat 4.4.4+Xposed+GravityBox along with Franco Kernel. But not sure if I'm not going to run into more problems, so maybe I should just stay with CM? The battery life and performance is nice, and although there are some modules that I would like to use, I wouldn't sacrifice ART for them.

Having no luck with my phone right now:

Had a replacement from Google 2 weeks ago after the power button got stuck and now this one there's something wrong with the micro USB port and I can't get the plug in properly!

Can't see anything wrong with it though and other cables are the same :/
