Just smashed my screen after almost two years of having the N5, has anyone replaced their screen?

If so, was it difficult and how much?
I'd rather not get a new flagship phone just yet, so would rather fix it.

I put a new battery in both mine and the girlfriends phone on Friday night.
We have both noticed a lot better performance over the weekend.

What battery/kit did you get?

Any one know why the new Google Photo app is saving all pics taken using the camera in too the 'Device folders' folder, rather than in to the 'Photos' library with all other images?

I've looked through the settings and there's no setting to specify default folder... It used to go in the the 'Photos' library, but since they released this new version of Google Photo all new images taken go in to 'Device folders' folder...

I'm using Cataclysm ROM 5.1 and it has been rock solid for weeks/months now without any issues. The battery is good, no complaints here...


Is anyone biking here? If so, I need a powerbank (3800mah should do) and a handlebar mount. Any recommendations?

I would have a look at the anker models. They are smaller than the width of my hand and that's for a 6000mah one. They do smaller though.
If its for a bike, just go for one that doesn't have the shake to show battery life feature.

I'm still using my N5, albeit with a replacement Battery. It will be regulated to a Business use phone shortly as it's just been replaced with a GS 6.

doubt it.

Smells of BS...even the original source had doubts on the benchmarks.

Would be nice but dont see it happening.

GPU scores look questionable If it was the 820.

I'm just hoping they don't put the toasty SD810 in it. Why that SoC is still in production I don't know.

The only home for it is in tablets.

Hopefully the new nexus will have a 3200mah battery, better signal/GPS, better camera and it will remain 5inch (its the perfect size IMHO.)

That's the phone I'm waiting for.

The disappointment of the Nexus 6 means I'm going tlo be very cautious about this one.

I suppose the flip side is that my current N5 would troop on for another couple of years with a new battery so its no biggie if they do disappoint again.
