NFL 2021 Season

Jayden Daniels with another good game... throw in another 100 yard rusher and maybe closing in on 200 yards team rushing and even a reasonable defensive performance and there's just that little bit more belief...

Next week is the Browns, which is another winnable game.

Just watched some of the highlights from other games and yea, Daniels is transformative. Playing so well. Early days obviously but wow. One analyst compared him to Lamar in terms of the uplift on other players he's having and I can see why.

Interesting because I remember an inane conversation with a friend (Packers fan so doesn't know better ;p) on why every team should sit their rookies for a season or two, like Love. Jayden Daniels, like Shroud before is the reason you don't. Apart from the fact very few teams have a HoF QB to learn from the reality is that *if* the rookie pays off the QB contract is so advantageous that you can build strength in areas you just can't otherwise. There's a reason teams like the Rams (2018), Bengals, Eagles and 49'ers have all been to recent Superbowls. If you don't have a Mahomes, a super cheap Vet/HoF, or some random outlier the reality is that you probably aren't going to the big game on a $55/60m QB. Or at least you'll be the first team to do so if you manage it. And even if so many of these rookies are a miss there aren't enough decent calibre veterans to go around anyway.
