NFL 2021 Season

the quarterback sneak from Heinicke was the icing on the cake.
When I first thought, we only have a couple of shots at this from the 1, I thought we might still manage to lose, but actually I'd noticed our O Line had been doing quite a good job during the drive (Heinike just taking too long in the pocket being the reason he ended up running a couple of times) and so was quite confident we would get in from there.

Impressive drive considering our O had been absent most of the game and tbf the Colts deserved it more than us.

Yeah, one of the most amazing games to watch in recent time tbh. As Scott Hansen said, the swing back and forth of probability was pretty crazy.

As a Commanders fan, I almost can't believe we knocked off the undefeated Eagles in Philly... everything just seemed to go our way, which is not something I'm used to at all! We actually looked good on both sides of the ball.

Not following the Niners too much, how much of Lance have we seen? Is he not the guy?

Also, I there are others (like my brother) that didn't realise there are games on this evening, I would suggest avoiding results and watching the Vikings v Colt game. I'll leave it at that now and avoid spoilers...

Does anyone know a good site or report which list the best games of the weekend but without telling you the score?
It's funny. I was thinking I need a service like this. There have been some amazing games this year and a few of them I've missed as I might not have guessed that I needed to watch them.

Anyone else see the bizarre Raiders Patriots ending? I feel bad for the Pats guy who clearly just had a brain fart. I think the fact Stevenson pitched back to him, kind of made him panic like it was a 'must not let the play end' type thing, when of course he should have just knelt and gone to overtime.

You can lateral as many times as you want, anywhere on the pitch. Teams don't do it... well, for the reason we saw. There can only be one forward pass and it must come from behind the line of scrimmage (well, a part of the player must be still behind the line of scrimmage, like a foot for example)

The method the pass of the ball happens, doesn't matter. Overhand/traditional pass but backward then it's a running play. Shovel/pitch but forward then it's a passing play.

Yeah, I can't decide with Fields. Like Lamar Jackson, some of the things you see them do are ridiculous and you think about how you'd love to have them on your team, but these things are now and then happenings that you can't really control and actually, it's more important to have someone that can stand in the pocket and sling it about the place with some consistency. I've not followed them enough to know if he can do that. His (passing) numbers look average for the year?

Yeah, I still think Purdy could be their undoing. Don't get me wrong, he's good. For a 3rd string he's pretty amazing, but at the same time, he's missing a few that you would want him to hit, but he gets carried by the talent around him IMO. (Mind you, I said similar about Montana  That often doesn't go down too well!)

they didn't half mess things up with taking so long, wasting timeouts, delay of game pens
Yeah, I couldn't believe with 4th and inches, some extra time while they sorted the clock... they still got a delay of game penalty...
I've said this before, but personally think the Niners are the most trustworthy NFC team.
Yeah, definitely the Vikings are an up and down team, but if they could string together maybe 3 quarters of up, they could beat the Niners.

I think we can safely put Burrow above Allen in the QB rankings too.
I think this is a really interesting discussion we could be having for the next 10 years or so. Obviously, the Bengals offence was far superior yesterday, but a large part of this was the balance they had, or maybe even specifically the running threat they had. Allen was the Bills leading rusher with 26 yards... The Bengals D have a much easier job if they aren't too worried about them running the ball.

The pass Allen threw to Gabe Davis down the sideline is one of the most ridiculous completions you'll see all year, IMO. If you were starting a new team and had to choose one or the other, I still think I might lean towards Allen... but it's a really close call IMO. (Mind you, thinking back to a few of his Red Zone problems in recent weeks... maybe not)
