Ninja Gaiden

So who's playing in the Master Ninja tourney round 2, then?

Just battled my way through the first level up to Murai, failed to beat him 3 times and swore enough to get my entire town sent to hell.

The new weapon's fantastic, the enemies' new moves are annoying and the new intercept technique is going to have my reflexes honed down to ridiculous levels of precision.

I sooooo nearly beat Murai on my 2nd go, as well :mad:

How are the new enemies moves annoying??:)
 
I might be being dappy, but did the black ninjas always have that grab move where they impale you?

Basically, I used to block all the time, but the fact that they use the grab'n'stab move so often seems to promote use of the intercept technique.

No they didn't, it's a new move. From what I've read, the HP is incredibly hard, and you'd have to have completed it on very hard to do well on it. I'll be getting Xbox Live in a couple of weeks, so can't wait to get my hands on it (will have to complete NG in V Hard mode first though I think).

If your idea of good is making the game so hard even experts are getting killed on a regular basis, then yes, it's very good (from what I've read anyway). The new weapon is meant to be great as well :)
 
Yeah, you need to start a Master Ninja Tournament game rather than a normal new game. So it's unlikely to be on a coverdisc for a while either as it is only for the Master Ninja Tournament and the normal offline game is untouched (until hurricane pack 2)

There's loads of reasons to get live , £30 a year being just one of them.

Trust me, if you were playing the Hurricane pack you WOULD notice. The brown ninjas are replaced with white ninjas and the white ninjas are replaced with black ninjas. The black ninjas also have more moves and more life than before. I think the whole game may be a little faster as well, but that could just be my imagination.

I really do like the new weapon, though. Another nice touch is that you start off with nunchaku!
 
I doubt non-liveys will ever get it seeing as the only way to play it even if you have Live is to enter the Master Ninja Tournament, which you need to be online to play.

im sure there will be a hcked downloadable version for it tho

i swear i read it was being distributed on xbox magazine in a few months any way?

why would you have to go via master tournemant to play the game with the added bits?
 
Because the added bits are for the Tournament - sort the men from the boys by making the game faster and harder. However when Hurricane Pack 2 arrives, Itagaki has said the packs will completely overwrite the single-player game, so I assume this is when they'll become available on a coverdisc for offline play :)
