Nevermind, I really do feel like a more powerful Switch is coming at some point.

No way! About bloody time.
I had one screen protector in the multi pack case + protector deal I got, usually would just go for it and have an imperfect one, but this time as only had one did the steamy bathroom tip, EG run a shower hot and apply in bathroom with steam preventing dust, got a 99% good application first time that way, teeny tiny air bubble in far bottom left corner not even on visible screen part, good enough. The steamy room definitely helps in terms of no dust particles floating around.

Incidentally I checked the serial on my Switch. Seems I have an unpatched version of it.
Can I get a squillion pounds for it?
It’s worth an extra £10 over the updated ones.

Cheers, went for the same. I was literally about to buy some other unknown (to me) brand screen protectors. Guessing these Orzly will quickly sell out later this week. The display might be glass, but it's not protected.
I'm actually looking forward to Friday. It's not the upgrade we want. But hey. It's is what it is. It's Nintendo, what did you expect?
Ordered the white oled model from Nintendo this morning, roll on friday
And a set of Orzly glass screen protectors from the rainforest as well, got the same brand on my original switch never had any issues with that brand at all.

That's what I tried when I bought the case. It fell off within a day so I bought the Orzly ones.
If I broke my switch I definitely would. Your issue is an easy fix though as you can buy the rail and connection and replace them easily.
