*** Nintendo Switch ***

Absolutely love the new switch, that OLED screen makes a massive difference, I even find that the text is sharper and crisper than on the old one, probably because text is now a decent size and not viewed through a plastic front.

The game is pretty enough :D

Didnt cancel my order in the end....woke up to find I ordered two of them  My fault for not paying attention.

I thought it was insipid personally. Playing it with some filters and 60fps on pc was how I wish it was in the first place.
I forgot to cancel my Smyth's collection but they cancel it if you don't pick up in two days so I'll leave it.

Eh? I was always waiting for the Digital Foundry review before buying. Do keep up :p

Oh I do apologise. Must've crossed you with someone else. Got a perfection application on my screen protector! It's the small wins in life sometimes.
Also, bloody hell those joycons are secured tight.

Ordered a new Switch from Argos when they first went on preorder, later cancelled and ordered from elsewhere, got refunded but they've delivered it today.

I still remember putting strips of tape in the rails in my V1 switch to make them tighter

In my short time with it, the screen alone makes it 100% worth the upgrade. Feels like a premium device now and how it should have been with the OG model.

It will definitely have me playing more in handheld mode going forward.

Just started up AC. Noticed I can hear the fan going on the console, it's a lot more noticeable than my V1.

Edit: Was actually the sound on the game, oops.

It's arrived and it's gorgeous. Not played anything on it yet, but yeah, it's obvious already it is a huge upgrade.

First thing I noticed when taking it out the box - looking at the off screen looks like a pre-fitted screen protector is present, I was just about to peel it off when I thought let's check... and sure enough, there is one - https://www.theverge.com/2021/10/8/...nti-scattering-film-protective-cover#comments

Weird. Nintendo recommend not to remove it, for 'safety' reasons if the glass shatters. I've left it on for now and have installed a Orzly tempered glass protector on top of it.
