*** Nintendo Switch ***

Have put...a few hours into Metroid Prime and dear god its still a brilliant game and the updated visuals are fantastic. If they released MP4 with these graphics I would be over the moon.

Considering the game is over 20 years old, everything about it holds up amazingly well.

I really like the look of Have a Nice Death, is there somewhere that lists whether games (upcoming or released) will have a physical release? My Google fu has failed me!

I’ve been trawling the e-shop for new games and spotted that WRC9 Deluxe edition is on 90% discount until 27 Feb making it only £5.39 for the digital download. A lot of reviews say this is really sim heavy, including the RPG-like career mode, how does the gameplay compare to the Dirt series? I like rally games but really want one I can just pick up play for a few minutes here and there.

I just picked up a switch on the members market, ive not touched my old switch since mario/bowsers fury was the last game i got for it.

Ive picked up metroid dread and mario strikers, has there been any other switch exclusives that are must plays since then?

Thought this thread was more active… Is anyone playing WRC9?

Just seen that when I registered for interest about the tears of the kingdom pre order I was supposed to verify my email but that email went into my spam and registration has since closed

I know I know, Nintendo gonna Nintendo but you'd think being logged in with one of your 14 different Nintendo accounts required to play anything on the Switch would be enough to verify your email.

Oh well, saves me money on tat I didn't need I suppose...

I bet when the preordained emails go out from Nintendo it still sells out in seconds.

I missed every retailed going live and by the time I checked them all it was sold out everywhere. Even if I can't get the collectors edition I would like the Amiibo.

I just watched a decent review on WRC 9 which answered all my questions - https://youtu.be/eDxy1uxDMWw. It seems there are plenty of modes that don’t involve the full career manager scenario, so you can just race if you want to, either in single races or in a championship or through a whole season. So I just went onto the Nintendo UK website to grab a copy and was surprised to see that the price has already been put back up to full price FFS

Edit: It was the Deluxe Edution that was on offer and that seems to have been taken off Nintendo’s UK website but is still available on their US website for $4.99. Can I use a download from the US store on a UK account?

If you haven't already, take a look at deku deals. They have a graph showing price changes over time so you can get an idea as to if it might drop again any time soon.

@petridish thanks a lot for this recommendation. Going through the deku website it’s still showing the lower price and the link took me directly to my account which enabled me to purchase the game at the discounted price even though it doesn’t seem to otherwise be available on Nintendo’s website.

Just finished Metroid Prime Remastered and damn, still holds up amazingly. Loved it. Absolutely loved it. Just makes me really want Metroid 4 now.

Glad to hear it! Always worth checking there if you're after anything as it'll say if it's been cheaper etc. Doesn't cover many outlets but better than nothing.

Are you aware of any website that lists whether Switch games have a physical release?
I was wondering this myself the other day, I don't know anything personally but deku deals does give the option to view the digital only or physical only price of a game so that might be a good starter. Someone else might have a better site to use.
