*** Nintendo Switch ***

Doesn't sound like there will be two separate SKU's at launch. But if it is a LCD screen that we get, keep in mind that the tech is much better than it was back in 2017. I'd still prefer a OLED, though.
I thought the rumours were that there was going to be two SKUs, but it's more likely that they would just be colour varients again.
It will feel really weird if they don't release with an OLED model after having one, but I can them saving it for later. For people that own the OLED, they're actively being asked to downgrade the screen to upgrade the specs. That feels weird for a portable system in 2025.

I'd be happy for a £379 LCD / £429 OLED offering. Not happening, but sounds like very Nintendo pricing.

I haven't seen any rumours suggesting two SKU's. All sources I've read are in agreement there is one SKU, and many of the specs are now known, including the LCD display. But I'm sure in time there will be a variant with OLED.

There were rumours a few months ago (about the time we started seeing stuff leaked via the "supply chain") that there were two SKU's but the suggestion was different colours or maybe storage space rather than screens.
I've got a Switch OLED and its much better than the old LCD so I'd certainly prefer another OLED but as you say that'll be the 2027 "upgrade!)

Im sure Nintendo will not want to limit revenues (or publicity) from FOMO sales by releasing it with OLED on day one.

Page 1 of the Apple playbook! Milk, milk, milk your market!! :p

It will be easy for me to stay strong unless they release another Mario like Odyssey with it, or a Zelda that is nothing like BOTW/TOTK.

I've not started echoes of wisdom yet, anyway who has finished it, does it have gyro controls anywhere? I want to play portable, but the joy cons suck so I want to use my Hori split pad pro, but it has no gyro. So I don't want to get into it and suddenly need gyro.

Thanks.

Have a weird issue. I've had my Switch in docked mode since I bought it and have had no problems until now. When I go to play a game the TV does not show the main menu of the Swicth. The strange thing is that it worked fine a couple of days before. Also when looking at the docked Switch the screen is on there but it doesn't show on the TV.

Can anyone suggest possible ways of fixing it.
