*** Nintendo Switch ***

I've been playing the new Zelda game and I'm really not enjoying it. Usually I love the top down Zelda games. Having to summon monsters to do your fighting and objects to solve puzzles is just a bit tedious.

It's a different type of game. I'm really enjoying it. So many different ways to tackle puzzles and enemies. Finding new more powerful echoes is fun, for me anyway.

I've just completed it and I loved it. By playing as Zelda I had to change how I usually play, thought the puzzles were great. Found the game easier than Links Awakening, preferred the story in this.

I was all for it when it came out but it's losing me too. Something about the general slowness to the summoning mechanics. I'm leaning towards dropping it for now as there's so much else to play.

So I bought Super Mario Maker 2 the other day and my god I suck at old school platformers. I haven't tried making my own left yet though. I think I mainly end up playing strategy and RPG games in general.

Started Zelda OOT last night but didn't like the C buttons on the right stick so ordered a Retro Bit Tribute 64 controller :D

Charging now then going to spend the afternoon saving Hyrule.

Yeah I bought the offical N64 controller. Was almost impossible using a Switch controller for most of the games.
Just tried the Retro Bit Tribute 64 and it's not working, can't change it to NSO 64 mode. Connected to my PC and can't update the USB dongle or controller so it's going to have to go back :(

I know you wanted to play on switch but have a look at the ship of harkinian with textures on PC.

That's a shame as I was thinking about getting one seeing as the new 8bitdo retro 64 controller doesn't seem to be available on "that one popular site" yet. Are you just getting a refund or a replacement hoping that the new one will have functioning NSO support?

I'm getting a refund. The official N64 controller was in stock in the Nintendo Store only £5 more so ordered that. Not the biggest fan of the trident shape but if it works and allows me to play Zelda I'll cope.

Well I ordered the official N64 Controller yesterday from Nintendo Store and it arrived today, happy days, can't fault the service.

I have had some very good service from Nintendo to be fair. Turn around time on a joycon that died was very quick in particular, though how in house that is I don't know.
