*** Nintendo Switch ***

TBH, if it wasn't for the fact it's a handheld. I'd buy Zelda for the Wii U and wait.

But the handheld aspect is so appealing.

I wonder if you can play local multiplayer but with also splitscreen. So I pop round to a friends, we have two switches. 3 play on the big TV and I play on my switch. That'd be nice!

Do you mean with one Switch? If so this 100% cannot happen.

1 - You cannot run in full power mode (required for TV output) without the dock.
2 - There is some minor hardware in the dock for HDMI output.
2 - When docked the screen is physically blocked.

Seem Nintendo have said that a 3ds successor ain't off the cards? Way to say something to fill upcoming switch buyers with confidence about software releases :p

Over 100+ in dev confirmed now. Nintendo are taking the drip feeding approach when it comes to the big stuff (Zelda, Mario etc) then you've got 3rd parties and ports filling the gaps.

I like the approach. I can see why they're doing it. Maybe have a more structured release gap but hey, we know what games are coming with way more in the loop, I'm not complaining :p

the way i see it, gives more time to enjoy the game than rush through it/collate a backlog as with my ps4 :D

With two.

So I use mine to play on my screen.

Another 2 or 3 play on another switch on the main screen, with other pads. Allowing the main screen to not be so cluttered.

I've lost a lot of interest in the switch now that the 3ds range is going to continue. I wanted one platform for both mobile and home Nintendo games.

I'm not one to usually defend Nintendo but they should continue to support a platform with over 60 million units that is still being sold in the shops. They only released the new 3ds 2 years ago so it's still got some life in it. Give it a year or so and I'd imagine they will transition over to the switch

I'd be interested to know if there will be a bigger onboard storage option at some point given Nintendo provided the dev kit versions with 64gb built in!

You can guarantee an "XL" or "Deluxe" or "Premium" unit will make an appearance in the not too distant future.

One (of many) reason I'm staying clear of the launch rush - I'll sit it out and get a bit more for my money I think, meantime we have a Wii U which still gets played twice a week.

This will eventually happen if the Switch is a big success I think. But won't know until 2018/19. Nintendo are being clever on this occasion, makes no sense to put all eggs in one basket at the moment.
