That's a bit cack. Oh well.

They'll have to wait til April for mario kart. :p

Had to throw the wii out the other week because it wouldn't connect to any of the new tv's in our house. Mario kart withdrawal unfortunately haha.

If it helps you can buy Wii HDMI adapters for about £5 by the way :)

Really? I just accessed my order but it doesn't let me change it... just displays the delivery address?

If you can't then you can contact customer support and they should be able to do it for you.

Good to see stock being replenished. Its interesting seeing this thread and some friends. Who have ordered, cancelled...then reordered! lol!

I ordered the neon by accident, but was getting it for release day so stuck with it. Might swap over to a grey one if they're guaranteeing release day delivery again...

Amazon are saying you'll get a grey for release day. If ordered now.

Just had my play test session.

Zelda - Looks and plays great. There was some frame rate issues but they guy said its an earlier build and not final. Used the pro controller then switched to tablet mode. The visuals and frame rate remained the same.

Mario Kart 8 DX - All the DLC plus extras was included. Feels smoother than the Wii U version.

Arms - Fun game, basically boxing from Wii Sports but with super moves.

Splatoon 2 - Same as Splatoon 1 really.

1-2-1 Switch - HD rumble, whatever they call it is very impressive. Another fun party game.

The overall console doesn't feel cheap, tablet is well built. Feels like my Nvidia Shield Tablet. Joy Cons are a bit small for my large hands though. Im still glad I preordered and I know people will not be disappointed.

I hope Very do not let you down and you get one on launch.

Thanks, i'm not that fussed if it doesn't roll up on release day to be honest, i'll be out of the house most of that weekend anyway!!

Would be nice for them to deliver it when they said they would mind.

The most important question:

What colour variant did you prefer - Grey or Neon?

Still torn over the Switch. I really like the idea, and I don't think the console price is unreasonable, but I'd like it to do a bit more. Even fairly basic app support would allow it to replace my tablet; a web browser, Netflix, NowTV, maybe Plex or Kodi (stretching things a bit there, I know). And the pricing of games/accessories is rather insane.

I guess I'll wait, see what happens to pricing, app support, and the games library. The console itself looks awesome, but there's just not quite enough on offer to entice me to buy.

Is it worth keeping my pro controller pre-order or do you think a second set of Joycons in the grip is good enough?

For Zelda the Joycons are suited because the buttons felt more evened out. The pro controller felt cramped.

Grey

I can see why the console is the price it is. It may not be as powerful at the PS4 and Xbox One but it doesn't feel cheap or like some 3rd party knock off.

Really? Just playing Zelda you thought that or did you try the controller with any other games?

Is that because you just prefer the sleekness of it or were the neon colours off putting?

That's weird. That's the complete opposite response compared to all the news sources.

Only with Zelda as that's the only game using the pro controller. Also the grey console matches with the rest of my TV unit.

That's understandable but I am the sort of person who plays on my Wii U pad more than using the Wii U Pro controller. Especially when it was playing 2D platformers.

There is cramped as in, the buttons are close together and your hand gets cramp, then there is also cramped as in having your hands close together.

With the joycons you could for instance have either hand resting on an armrest and still be playing where with a controller you can't.

To me, without having played it, the joycons look extremely cramped in case no1, buttons being too close, but it has the advantage that in case no2, you can have your hands far apart.

The worst case scenario is using 1 joycon in multiplayer, that looks insanely cramped and awful and in that case a controller looks monumentally superior. THe joycons size is much less of a problem when you aren't trying to cram two hands onto one of them, but they still look a little slight to me.
