*** Nintendo Switch ***

I was a bit confused with the DigitalFoundry review when he said that a memory card was essential. I will probably never buy a memory card for a console as I intend to buy a physical copy of all games. That leaves only indie games and save files/screenshorts that will be taking up space on the console.

I'll be surprised if anyone gets a Switch for £200 from them.
Mine is on its way, I preordered and paid for it last November.Never had any problems with them before and they often deliver a day or two earlier than release aswell. It was a bit of a gamble but it's paid off :)

Amazon order for both zelda and switch now finally showing preparing for despatch. Hori hard case not at that stage yet and the zavvi controllers still processing

Yeah, same. I heard that it was going to be the Neon Joyconn one aswell, I even went on the site to check it out. While I personally don't think the Switch is worth buying till Christmas, anyone who bought from Gameseek is the exception. They've got the best deal and should feel amazing about it.

AKA, pretty much what happened with WiiU. The sad thing is, there was massive potential. Ghost Recon Wildlands launches on Tuesday, they could have easily rode on the pre-release hype with a Switch version and have a Switch version close to release. I guarantee it would have sold systems AND it would have been the 2nd game that people bought alongside Zelda. A shame, the Switch will likely remain a Nintendo machine like the WiiU was. Is that enough for it to be a success? Who knows?

Ghost Recon for the switch....that would have to be an entirely different game. The switch isnt close to the consoles in terms of power and the consoles are being stretched. I wouldnt expect any major third party titles unless its a heavily stripped down version.

A shame then, that means the Switch is a repeat of the WiiU in terms of 3rd party support. I hope it doesn't flop because of it, like it's predecessor did. All the more reason to see it as a stupidly powerful handheld, as opposed to a meh home console then. Won't be getting the same games as other home consoles if what you say is correct.

A lot of people are getting turned off by so-called AAA games regurgitating the same crap every year. I see this as an alternative to that and for me at least, predominantly a handheld which I can play on my TV. I don't need CoD to run on it. Remains to be seen if the Switch needs titles like that to succeed. Meanwhile we get one of the best, if not the best, Zelda games ever.

My last minute Nintendo order has changed from getting picked to awaiting dispatch, looking good for release arrival :D

Edit. Charged my card too.

I'm pretty sure that wasn't the initial promise. I have a feeling anyone waiting on this lot have been played for a fool and I'll be surprised if anyone gets a Switch for £200 from them.
Yep. Some lucky one will get it, but it will be small number, less than three digits. Lol.

Anyone who thinks third parties aren't onboard definitely hasn't done their research. This thing is going to be indie game heaven coupled with decent IPs. Lots of big studios have either confirmed or hinted they're making something or other for the console.

I still firmly believe the console does need some time to see how the public find it, figure out where it sits in with everyone, then games will be made to accommodate that. IMO :)

Side note. Just casually mentioned that there is "only" 1 day until the Switch is released. This was firmly met with "the LOOK"

Everyone here knows what I mean :P

Granted, probably not the best thing to bring up in a hospital waiting room, but I was just trying to distract her, honest :D

Hahahahaha. I can imagine.

My Switch from Amazon does not say anything about dispatching or anything. Nothing has changed, just says arriving tomorrow. It better!

Although I've had this on pre-order since they went live I can't justify the £330 cost with a game for what it currently offers. I will cancel and re-order when it's down to £200 and more 1st party games are available.

Got an email this morning at 06:00 saying it's been dispatched but the time of dispatch was 21:00 last night. I'll be happy if it arrives tomorrow but I'm more than prepared to have to wait until Monday.

I very rarely preorder anything as it usually doesn't turn up on time. First time I've ever got a console in the post too.

Mine now says preparing to dispatch, both on zelda and the switch.

Now need to hope it does not get delivered at 11pm. Lol
