*** Nintendo Switch ***

Yep and we going have to get used to it. When it comes to tech, we be paying more for less now.

The days of £37.99 launch game prices are becoming rare. I managed to pick up Zelda for Switch and Wii U for £40 each......after using discount codes. Never had to do that years ago.

Smyths were doing a very small discount if you bought the console and Zelda at the same time, which made then game £40 instead of £47.99

If this had come out before Brexit, it would probably have been less than £250 RRP

Barring Nintendo first party stuff and Fifa though games come down in price more quickly than years ago I think.

Infinite Warfare, Uncharted 4 and BF1 all dropped very quickly.

Regarding game pricing; Everybody who's into party games needs to get Snipperclips! :) Me and the other half had a real good time playing it yesterday.

A nice drop in drop out multiplayer puzzler only £17.99 on the eShop.

My wife surprised me with a Switch on Friday :D so happy, absolutely love BotW. I've wanted to get into a Zelda for years and this looks to be the one. So far i'd compare it to Tomb Raider a little bit. Excited to see what's to come for this console, really like it.

I got the Snipperclips demo last night. Not tried it yet.
found it really hard! Quite fun as 2P though.

Can you do me a favour bud?

Can you drain the battery a bit and when you next play Zelda portable hook it upto your power bank via USB-C output and then check how much it recharges during play after 1 hour and if you can 2 hours.

Thanks

Sure, I've only used it when the switch had been like 70% charged so far but it seemed to be adding to the charge while playing.

Just had a Zelda session in the carpark in McDonalds having lunch. Loving this console. My hands have adjusted to the joycons and playing with them detatched and the screen propped up in the dash was super comfy and easy to use.

Re the issue with sliding into the dock, is this an actual problem for people without screen protectors who are really careful?

Not even remotely a problem, just be careful, it's simple common sense.

My main issue with the Switch is that it appears to keep losing the Pro pad pairing, have to keep connecting it back up via the cable. It's happened 3/4 times in the space of 3 days.

Does look a great game to rope the other half in.

Amazon doing a neon joy con and Snipperclips bundle for £80, makes Snipperclips only a fiver! Is released on the 10th.

The neons are the reverse of the console so if you want all red or all blue you can do that too. :)

Has that happened while using it? At one point yesterday my Pro Controller stopped responding completely, moving it closer didn't help so I had to put the console in and out of sleep mode to get it working again. It's only happened once but still disappointing given I've never had a single issue with the PS4/X1 controllers.

The main issues I've had with pairing and connectivity I have fixed 100% by changing the position of the Switch dock. Took me ages to work that out though! And I realise that this isn't gonna be a solution for people with little space to move it to.

Nice! Not a bad deal for that price.

Dock isn't causing me any issues and I got through a session with no joycon issues last night.

Can see this becoming my main console if they keep the games coming. For all its faults and shortcomings its just great to pick up and play anywhere and not be tied to a screen.
