*** Nintendo Switch ***

There's a vid on youtube showing quite a few issues with the switch, people getting loud whining sounds, controllers having a ton of latency to them, the console not recognising when game cards are plugged in, video corruption, the console locking up repeatedly, joy cons not having a good connection to the tablet and feeling wobbly when attached, not to mention the retarded issue of the dock scratching the screen. Apparently adding 2 adhesive strips of velvet to those rails inside the plastic shell was too much for Nintendo to contemplate?? Seems to have an unusually high amount of issues for a Nintendo console. Vid is called "Nintendo Switch painful launch". Has some swearies so can't link directly, 7.5 million views and climbing.

I have noticed whining but only if i put my ear up to the console, same as my iPhone 7+ basically
I find the plastics used get marked easily
Left joy con connectivity

There are issues for some of course. Mass production on this kind of scale is never flawless. Mine is fine so I am happy. Seriously if it's dodgy send it back.

I'm sure there are issues, is with any new piece of hardware but some people are going over the top.

Plenty of people like me have had no issues at all but the vocal minority shout the loudest, especially when they are making money on YouTube, negative angry videos tend to get more clicks than a video saying everything works fine.

I have the joy con issue, I think, and it's not that bad. Obviously nice if it wasn't there but Nintendo should hopefully address it or do something for those that want it sorted or whatever

Really happy with the system

I must have sunk 30 hours into Zelda now without Zelda, 99% on the TV without any problem whatsoever.

Perhaps I should make a video showing it runs fine...

What I found weird no review hardware reported problems, nor in any of the press events. I guess some people's home conditions are not as ideal as some and those that are breaking, how many are due to clumsyness like putting the strap the wrong way wrong and forcing it in?

A high proportion of reviewers mentioned the joycon signal issue. Everything else is just manufacturing defects tbh.

More than happy with mine but I need a Pro controller as a workaround for the awful signal issues on my set of joycons. Been using mine predominantly as a handheld though.

Has anyone got I am Setsuna? I'm wondering about the £30 price tag, seems a lot for a 'short' JRPG! And it'a digital title only. I just fancied getting something else on the Switch rather than only having Zelda on it.

If you have friends then snipperclips is excellent.

I'm really enjoying shovel Knight too.

All these reports of faults makes me feel lucky with mine. It is flawless from what I can see so far.

Worst case scenario I have 2 years warranty with Amazon, so not a problem for me. Also I am sure in the future they will release a updated version like they did with the Nintendo DS back in the day. When that happens I can sell and buy the new one if it takes my fancy :D

What is the re-playability like on snipperclips?

I won't really be using it for it's MP side of things. So whilst Snipperclips was fun when the misses was here. I won't be buying it.

Not really noticed any Joycon issues affecting gameplay although when I connect to the console when the Joycons are on their grip I do notice the left one takes longer to connect.

Bought Fast RMX today as the reviews seemed decent and or £16 didn't think I could go wrong, its great fun actually and should bridge the gap until Mario Kart in April now.

I think it's best to wait for the launch hype to die down and hopefully some digital prices will fall as it seems us early adopters get stung with high price games.

Hopefully Zelda will keep me going, loving it so far and has made me realise how bored I was on Horizon on the PS4 the other day, so generic!

For me it's Zelda, not sure about mk8 as I had it on Wii u and hardly used it (great version ofc), then Star dew valley, Mario and maybe splatoon

Has anything been said for Wii U digital backward compatibility? I have a few games digitally tied to my Nintendo account and playing windwaker hd would be awesome

Yeah similar for me, aside from MK, Mario and Splatoon there isn't a huge amount already announced that I fancy, hoping that Wargroove might be a decent supplement for a Switch Advance Wars though.
Would love to see the Virtual Console launched soon, I wouldn't mind buying a few older bits a bobs for SNES and N64 as I haven't bought anything from the VC before.
