*** Nintendo Switch ***

I think £300 is the right price for this but with the current exchange rate there's no telling what it could be.

The short time between the presentation and launch should help them keep the buzz going (as long as they advertise).

I suspect this will either launch with Mario or Zelda with the other game following 3-6 months later.

720p multi touch screen is all but confirmed by Nintendo. I think that is fair. Never understood why I would need 1440p on a phone (apart from VR).

Indeed. I remember when for a brief spell I had a Nexus 6. 4K screen on a phone!

What a waste of battery power that was!

Wait what? 4K on a 6" device. Don't even know what you would do with that.

Yeerrrp. Ridiculous. It was a big phone so it had a large battery but because of that screen you didn't get long out of it. Such a flawed design. If a 1080p or 720p screen was in it it would have been more than fine and it would've been one of the best phablets around due to a much longer batter time.

And that's why it's great as a portable. Good battery life, good resolution and touchscreen for easy menu browsing and stuff.

Now as a home console... if it remains at 720p when plugged in, then that's a tad disappointing considering the WiiU ran some games at 1080p. Which is more than likely since the dock doesn't actually do anything besides TV output and charging.

And yeah, £350 sounds about right, if the dock was filled with magic then it would be £400. Question is... how much will the good bundles (i.e. including games) cost? Impatient pre-orderers will be milked hard. I'll wait for a good deal/bundle. Unless there's Monster Hunter or main series Pokemon, in which case, instant-buy.

When it's docked you can run higher clocks as heat and power consumption aren't concerns, especially if the dock acts as a heat sink.
