*** Nintendo Switch ***

Hopefully Nintendo stop hedging their bets with the 3ds as merging all console and handheld dev teams would be a big advantage.

I bet the next Pokemon is still on three 3ds.

I'm absolutely gutted that Pokémon sure and moon were not on the Nintendo switch. There was a rumour that the 'third' game was called Pokémon stars and would release on the switch but that materialised.

Instead the sequal / alternative story to Pokémon sun and moon is being released and again it will be 3ds only.

Sometimes I think Nintendo doesn't like money.....

Well there are an awful lot of 3DS owners in the world. It makes sense right now to continue to milk the 3DS Pokemon content but yeah as above I hope they phase that stuff out and focus all attention on the Switch in the not too distant future.

It depends on their goals. Making it a Switch exclusive would secure their future revenue rather than making short term profit.

This is how and why you need to use motion controls.

Hah I just watched this yesterday, been following that guy since Splatoon1 days.

Also checked out a few splatoon2 streams on Twitch recently and its shocking how many people are using sticks only (including a pro smash melee player!).

Splatoon is probably my favourite shooter of the last decade, and im enjoying the sequel even more... despite having spent 180hours+ playing the original.

But they are making a dedicated Pokemon game for the Switch.

Nice! I used them in the original but never really felt I was great with them, felt a bit muddled in the heat of the moment but again probably as I didn't play it enough to learn to get good with them :D

They're much more responsive and more importantly consistent. A 90 degree turn is always a 90 degree turn.

Also just using the right hand to aim is much more intuitive.

Kreeee do you use pro controller like that vid ? Seems a bit weird getting used to motion controls on a normal pad ! I'm just about getting used to using 2 joy cons with motion

No I use the separated joy cons.

He only uses a pad because wireless controllers are banned from tournament's.
