Clocked probably 60 hours on smash bros but otherwise haven’t touched my switch.
I’ve played mario, dropped rabbids, botw, xc2, mario Kart and smash bros.
Last year wasn’t great for me apart from smash.. everything else was ports I can’t being myself to pay full price for. Maybe I need to buy a second switch and hack it.
I thought I’d always have a Nintendo exclusive game to play portably but Nintendo have slightly let me down so far. I know the games are on the roadmap to release (Zelda remake, fire emblem, Pokemon) .. can’t come soon enough tho.
In regards to another switch version, it’s inevitable they will but I don’t think now is the time.
They’d be smart to coincide it with a big game release and just do a few small updates (Bluetooth audio, smaller bezels, better kickstand). Something like an oled screen would be crazy amazing but I really really doubt it from Nintendo, an increase in resolution could potentially get messy if they do that weird exclusive game thing they did for majoras mask and xenoblade last gen.
I’d love to see them put the new3ds 3D tech into the switch.
The more powerful switch just sounds too messy. I remember they tried it with the 3ds and new3ds. Also I’m not sure if NVIDIA have anything to supply them with for a more powerful model yet.
Whether they should do it? As much as I’d like a revamped switch, I think they should concentrate on releasing more games. They have ridden the botw/odyssey golden rainbow for a year or two now.. it’s time to really compete at the high end of quality gaming again this year. Nintendo should realistically have a few game of the year contenders this year. Last year was barren for a top quality title which compares to say god of war.
