*** Nintendo Switch ***

Can't believe this is still selling at 280 GBP. It's a toy ffs.

Not to mention the parts used are as cheap as chips. It's typical Nintendo.

Also, Nintendo charging for online is laughable. A service which used to be free, until now.

I got mine about a year ago for around £240 new with Mario kart. So £200.

I think that is a fair price given that its also a handheld.

You seem to be rather salty. You said before when someone told you a docked only switch would never be £150 with a controller you would wait until they are £80. Yet you're back here crying again.

Why wait to save £100? You will be waiting 3+ years of which had you bought the console gotten at least £100 worth of enjoyment out of it.

Put it this way £100 is a single night out if you are lucky. Or you can enjoy a switch for several years buying now rather than waiting for them to go down to a price they will never be.

I pay £300 a year just to tax my car. Its not a lot of money.

Cake is cake..i'll eat any cake as long as its not made out of poo. :D

I got my copy of Super Robot wars T from play-asia now, haven't tried it yet but looking forward to some strategy mecha goodness.

Cool story mate, do let me know if you can find me a laptop that can play all latest games that cost less than £280 or find me a combo where the Xbox/PS4 can be played portably without needing to buy additional portable screen in a bagpack but still requires a wall outlet that cost less or same amount as the Switch.

Yes, the switch might be better if you are always moving around but if you're at home for most of the time then a console is probably more appealing at the price point, especially as you can use streaming services through one.

If you only signed up to troll this thread then you better try harder or if you have something worth discussing about the Switch then carry on.
The Nintendo Switch is a home console and a portable console? If Nintendo added Netflix,Youtube and other streaming platforms then that defeats your logic? They can easily do it if they want to like Sony and Xbox has done over the years with their current platform.
Just because Nintendo didn't jump on the bandwagon from day 1 doesn't mean they can't now like others did after few years.
Xbone did have direct link to your TV cable provider but people didn't really care about that and PS4 had only Youtube at the time if my memory serves me correctly. Its only in recent years they added Netflix, spotify and other platforms after so Nintendo can potentially do the same.
Come back again when you can give better argument over why the Switch isn't worth it.

Wow, so many defensive fanboys on here.

As for the Switch lite, a Switch that doesn't Switch. Typical Nintendo logic there.

Anyway it's all subjective. It's a toy, materials are cheap as chips, poor online infrastructure, issues with Joy-Cons (not so much Joy there), it isn't worth the asking price.

If that doesn't put you off the system, their fans will.

Your PC component probably made out of cheap material so what's your point? No electronic is perfect and they will have flaws.
If you got nothing else to contribute here then go contribute somewhere else.

I don’t think it matters beyond whether it’s worth it to you.

I’ve had a great time - works out at less than £5 per hour for Zelda alone, let alone the rest.

Its typical of him. Anyone who disagrees with him is a fanboy! :p

Like I say, just ignore him. Hes got a bee in his bonnet over the Switch which is quite perplexing :D

I'm curious, why do you consider the Switch a toy but not the XBox and PS4?

They're all toys.

I might be looking for one of these soon. Not interested in the Lite really as it would be mainly used on my TV while docked but would love the ability to take elsewhere when the fancy takes me. There are not a great deal of games I am interested in though, just breath of the wild, Mario kart and definitely the "new" Zelda Links Awakening with a fleeting interest in some other games. Just one of those "want one" for a few games... :o Second hand seem to be coming down to about £180 and will hopefully drop further when the Lite and the Refresh version comes out.

I was ready to impulse buy a switch a few days ago until I looked into them and read about the refresh. Now I want the refresh but September... Gah. Probably will have lost interest by then. :(
I will sound like a broken record but if you want one now to play games on now you might as well just get one now.... unless you travel more than two hours a day on public transport *shrug*

Worth it for Breath of the Wild alone, by far one of the best games I've ever played. Nintendo smashed open world games and set a new bar.

Been playing this a couple of days and im stuck already. 1st two shrines done and I cant get to the other one I can see, too cold. I could google the recipe for the old man's doublet, but where is the fun in that?

You seem confused. You say it is subjective and then call us fanboys for not sharing your opinion. Lol :p

Pretty sure the game tells you how to make some hot food which gives you temporary protection but it's been a while since I played. Either way, stick with it as the game is just incredible.

Yup, just us and 32 million other people.

All video game consoles are toys (I'm saying this as an owner of a PS4 and PC as well as a Switch). Tell me why you disagree.

Clearly the majority of people don't have issues with Joycons and anyway, look at things like the red ring of death on the XBox. Things aren't perfect, it doesn't mean they're bad.

For me, I got a Switch for £250 with BOTW. I'm a 33 year old City lawyer, living with my long term girlfriend. I don't have a great deal of time to play games at home, so the Switch is perfect for me. I can play games on my commute (while I can keep my eyes open), and while traveling elsewhere. It gets far more screen time than any other console/gaming PC I've owned recently so from that perspective alone it's worth it. If I calculated minutes/£, the Switch would be one of the most worthwhile consoles I've owned.

Haha well I suppose it depends if it’s being entered into a competition! A+ for me but I like surprises and naturally I’m a little biased :o :D <3

looks kool to me, still not played it yet but i have the game on steam im assuming hollow knight? :)

been building up links house and having fun doing it, think i have been selling some of the rarer crafting materials but meh i need cash stat lol

i think they just built the last gear mount for me and i am ignoring the obvious troll that wants to buy a switch but his mates would laugh at him if he did........

thats the vibe im getting lol
