*** Nintendo Switch ***

I wonder how anything more than two player will work with this when docked - as 4 player MK8 is where it's at!

Here's hoping it's possible still - I guess the others might have to use the wireless "pro" controllers?

With the console I intend on buying at least 2 pro pads. I wonder if you could use 2 pro pads and the 2 small on the side controllers for 4 player. Hmmm!

So a few mentions of 1 tflop or what ever of power, roughly 2/3 a xbox one?

On the go that's OK, but was hoping while docked to be more than that. Nintendo :(

Would be nice if it is at least xbone specs while docked. Hopefully it is possible, considering xbone was designed on 28nm and now we have 14nm process available.

They just need to make sure it is better than Wii U :p

I'm honestly not expecting better graphical power than the Wii U or at least not by much.

I am. Not that it would bother me though. Everyone gets so wrapped up in specs and what not. Nintendo does not chase power. I know that whatever comes out on it will run super smooth. That's what Nintendo does.

My inner geek is curious about the hardware. But I couldn't care less :)

Yeah I'm also curious, but I'm happy with whatever really. I just want more Nintendo goodness.

If Zelda is as good as it looks, then I'll be happy with graphics.

Good to keep your expectations low :)

Basically this :)

I am confident it will be more powerful than the Wii U and want it to be. Would be disappointed if it is not to be honest. Would this disappointment stop me from buying it? Not a chance :p:D

There is no way it will be LESS powerful than an older console. Has a company ever actually done that?

If you include SNK then yes :p

Nintendo have said that the dock does not add any additional power to the system so not really expecting too much. Rumours are 4GB RAM and a 720P screen

I was not including SNK no :p :D

Have they? Do you have a link?

It'll play in 1080p when docked. The Wii-U had 1080p capability, therefore so will this :)

The thinking is when on battery power the console will under clock and then in dock you get full beans.

Not sure why people think the Wii U or any console in particular has 1080p capability. It is what the developer chooses to do in the end. They may go for something that needs a lot of graphical horse power and as a result will have to run at the lower resolution in order to maintain the target fps or go with something less strenuous like Wii Sports and run it 1080p :p

The dock as mentioned will not have any extra processing hardware. What will likely happen is the dock will provide the extra power from the wall for the handheld to run at a higher clock.

Interesting now looking back at the (so called) leaks of the NX controller/screen/specs/functionality - it was laughable at the time and even more laughable now.

A fair few of the Nintendo-in-the-blood members here guessed as far back as March/April 16 it was a hybrid and July/August ish that it'd run a dual level clock system. It's looking odds on to run dual level clocks - it simply has to otherwise you have at one end of the spectrum poor docked resolution or at the other end of the spectrum great res but shocking battery life when out of the dock.

^ if this is true, then what does it matter? They haven't announced anything to replace the home console, and now are possibly competing with their own handheld device: N3DS/2DS.

As much as it's pretty much a given, Nintendo haven't said anything. Nintendo have literally put up a trailer and that's it. Everything else is a rumor.
