*** Nintendo Switch ***

I ended up having a half day and playing Xenoblade 2 all day instead of waiting for reviews.

Enjoying it so far although after maybe 5 hours on the TV docked switching to handheld was a bit odd as the image seemed poor.

Havnt felt that kind of difference between docked and handheld before, I cant put my finger on what it is, maybe low resolution.

I've been hearing that too. I'm hoping it's just more of a jarring transition, rather than it actually looking pretty bad as I play almost exclusively in handheld mode. Maybe they'll throw out a patch in the near future to make handheld look better.

Thanks everyone for your comments on the Mario motion controls regarding joy cons vs pro controller

I started playing in portable mode with joycons attached and found it difficult to start, but then a friend convinced me to try with seperated joycons and now I cant go back (but finding Mario a lot more fun so worth it without doubt) - but My switch doesnt leave my tv now

I'm sure that will be the resolution as the same happens on rocket league it looks awful at 1st but then your eyes adjust imo .

What's the game like ? Is it going to be a game like Zelda that you can sink a lot of time into ? Or should I get Skyrim instead haha

I'm just going to go with Xenoblade whatever happens. I'll get Skyrim sometime in the new year.

Rocket League does look a bit ropey in handheld but once you start playing it you don't notice and it's a blast.

I got over the lower res quickly, probably put another 4 hours into the game in handheld mode this evening and it was fine.

Really enjoying it so far, glad I went for this over Skyrim since its all new to me.

Can anyone recommend any thumb grips? Got my switch yesterday and the analogues just feel a bit rounded and slippy for my liking. I prefer more of a con-caved analogue, bit like the Xbox pad.

OZRLY do some. I don't have any experience with them specifically but I've a few of their products for the Switch now and they have all been very good :)

Xenoblade 2 reviews are trickling through :)

Scores seem to be between 7 and 9 mostly around 8 at the moment. Good stuff. May hold off for the new year due to funds but hope to see you guys enjoying it this weekend!
