*** Nintendo Switch ***

Grandia and A Hat in Time both look great.

I'm not sure about Morphies Law. I like the concept but I need to see some reviews and opinions first.

Well my XBox one just died :-( was going to think about the One S but then i see the switch at the shop, has anyone here made the change? any regrets?

I still have my XBox One and PS4 but I've barely touched them in 18 months since I bought a Switch. It is a fantastic console and the best handheld we've ever known. Cannot recommend it highly enough.

If you buy a Switch, you'll barely touch another console for months. There's a decent list of first and second party titles which will keep you engrossed.

What happens after that largely depends on your appetite for ports. The Switch has a lot of them. There's a growing list of Wii U, Xbox One and PS4 titles, along with a large list of indie games that have been out on other platforms for ages. I'd take a look at the Switch games library. Take out the big Nintendo releases, and then ask whether the remaining games will keep you entertained or not.

The biggest drawback I've found with the Switch is the price of games (and accessories too, to be honest). Once the big Nintendo titles are done with, a lot of what's left simply isn't worth the asking price, until/unless it's on sale.

I sold my X1 when I bought the Switch in March and to be honest yes I miss it a little but there is that much to play and enjoy on the Switch its not really a big issue.

Its better too as I can play the Switch anytime anywhere in handheld rather than needing to be sat in front of my TV.

Its also fab having a games console again that doesn't do anything else other than play games.

What has surprised me more than anything is how good some of the indie games are and how much I am enjoying them. Games that I would never have touched if they hadn't been available to me in handheld. The first party Nintendo games - along with some others like DOOM, Skyrim, Mario + Rabbids to name a few - are obviously top notch but some of the real stunners have been from indie developers. If you have a PC you might have played a lot of these but playing something like Shovel Knight, Hollow Knight or Celeste (my Switch indie game library is becoming vast) on the go is something that has become very enjoyable for me. I play a lot more now than I used to because of the bite sized gaming the Switch offers you. I didn't think that I would use it as a handheld much but the screen is so nice and it's so convenient to just have it with you all the time.

Guys - looking for some games for my (nearly) 5 year old twin boys on the switch. They play Mario Kart, and recently I got Go Vacation for them, but they get a bit frustrated at the controls (as do I). Any recommendations? Genre not that important - they like driving, shooting etc as you'd expect!
