its not worked mate, can still see those scan lines at the top and the vignetting in the corners. You have to place the "_Chromatic Removal.pak" mod file inside of the "MOD" folder which needs to reside in the "PCBANKS" folder. Also, you need to delete the readme file from the PCBANKS folder like it says for the mods to work. You will also need to delete the whole SHADERCACHE folder so it reloads on the game restart.

If you take a close look at my screenshot above, can you see there are no horizontal lines by the radar at the top of the screen. That's what you are trying to achieve

I Loked at the screen shot and thought am i missing something, now i feel even more stupid for not saying lol.
Done all that loading the game up again now.

Steam\steamapps\common\No Man's Sky\GAMEDATA\PCBANKS\MOD\_Chromatic Removal.pak

deleted the readme file in `pcbanks`

deleted the shadercache folfer here - D:\Steam\steamapps\common\No Man's Sky\GAMEDATA\SHADERCACHE

same result?

Its ok thanks all for ther help and yes looks much improved, also with this new GSX 1000 the sounds are better too. The survival mode looks interesting too, even though i die far too quickly :)

ok im back lol

is there a mod that stops the texture pop/draw in ?

and any other mods peeps use regularly?

I wouldn't have thought so, that's just a design thing.

For recommended mods, I use 4k Water textures, 8k cloud textures, HD Crystals, 50% megaliths (although this one is somewhat buggy with clipping, but worth it as it makes planet surfaces feel more diverse, and also includes huge frigates and cruisers docked "inside" the atmosphere :)

Was there another update, my steam did a 1.4gb download today

yep another update today

Basically I'd say it's the same as before.
It's a zen game, so if you enjoy that sort of thing, you'll probably enjoy it.
If you tell yourself that you don't really have to leave the first planet because it already basically contains most of what the whole game has to offer, you'll enjoy it even more. Just explore that planet, imagine some slightly altered colours for other planets, and you've got it.
I find it's only marginally more enjoyable than sitting in front of a blank white screen and pretending you're playing an artic walking simulation.

It isn't quite that same-same on every planet. You get different levels of aggression on each planet, you'll get attacked for taking certain resources from certain planets, different animals and so on.

So it is worth exploring. It's pretty good fun jumping around in your ship.

And that's all coming from when I played on day 1. I thoroughly enjoyed it, but didn't find it that replayable after about 12 hours or so. If they had added stuff like automatic mining and trading (think X3TC), then I would have been addicted for a lot longer.
