The 100mt version they tested can cause third degree burns to 45 miles according to this website.

Well, I feel like rewatching The Day After 1983 and Threads 1984 again.

Watched threads for the first time last month. Wasn't an amazing film or documentary film to be honest. However it does give some food for thought. Would portably do itself more justice as a ,ultimate part serial.

Omg what a lost cause this country is. And there's no where to go. Bring back the 90's at least I had my youth of good times.
What he's done that other presidents haven't? As already mentioned in part, generally a president doesn't lose major cases against executive orders within a few months of becoming president, have the lowest approval record in modern history, have various criminal investigations hanging over him and several of his senior staff. That's just a few, alongside those already mentioned.

And no, I don't expect a leader to push through illegal legislation, however I do expect them and their staff to understand the law, which is the biggest issue with Trump...

A strong president shouldn't have too much issue "imposing" laws, because a strong president works with the rest of the legislature and gets things passed. Something Trump has failed to do multiple times in the only 8 months.

So far the only thing Trump has "excelled" at is lying. The most untruthful president in history, although it's questionable if he's actually any good at it because he is consistently found out. If you're going to lie, at least be good at it!;)

Honestly you'll find many people will have newfound respect for what politicians do because of Trump. He just goes to show it really isn't as easy as some people like to make out, at least to be good at it anyway...

I'm sorry, what?
Just look at Obama. Compare him to when he became president to when he finished, see the difference? Surely a leader of the worlds greatest country should come out better looking than that? Trump went in as a pensioner. I mean, really? Trump haters are mocking him, as a pensioner? - doing the job for free, exposing his family to constant death threats.
No, seriously, really? Anyone against this are mocking Trump? how can you hones... omfg, I give up. Humanity, goodbye.

Yes a lot of people have said the same, but still chilling don't you think? Have you seen The Day After? Might be better?

I haven't people said that threads was better, and it is interesting don't get me wrong. I don't think it's aged brilliantly like but not awful.

I've certainly seen more shocking films, but it does give a sense of the despair that would follow any nuclear strike.

He/she/(insert gender here) might be by new favourite poster.

I wonder what he/she will be like in the morning with their terrible hangover from to tonight?:p

I suggest you look at approval ratings - https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/trump-approval-ratings/

Unless of course you mean physically? In which case eight years doing a tough job is physically and mentally draining, which may be one of the reasons Obama didn't look as young as he did 8 years prior. How is Trump going to cope? Perhaps that's one of the reasons he rarely seems to be actually "doing" president, ather holidaying and playing golf?

The chairman of the Nielsen Holdings PLC who owns that website is a major supporter of Hillary, donating money to her campagin and the corrupt "Correct the Record".

Doesn't really really matter whether that's true or not, the data is broadly correct and shows the same as the Time link and pretty much every other website on the internet. Trump has historically low approval ratings, not just by the 8 month mark, but in general as well.

Edit: And more on topic - the polling company that most favours Trump is reporting a 6% increase in favourability ratings since last week. It appears all the rhetoric and sabre rattling against NK is having a desired effect.

Although as the article gives with one hand it takes with the other.

A recent CNN poll showed 59 percent of Americans say the Trump White House has been a failure, and another poll released last weekrevealed a majority of U.S. voters view President Trump as dishonest, lacking good leadership skills and failing to care for the American people

That estate agent's nuclear safety map is bobbins. What kind of enemy targets only the cities? There are tactical sites that will obvs be hit, like nuclear sites (free extra damage) and comms infrastructure. The nuclear power stations alone will take away almost all the safe space south of Glasgow.

There isn't much accuracy to it at all - it was supposed to be a bit tongue in cheek. Hitting a nuclear power station though won't normally cause secondary nuclear detonations, bolster the main detonation or cause a runaway effect like Chernobyl even additional fallout is a complex story.

If you like the blasts can be the same as the others. I checked where the reactors are and mentally superimposed them on the estate agent's map. There wasn't much safe space left, without even considering comms stuff (like Fylingdales, which I imagine will go first).

China have taken the right approach, will assist NK if USA attacks first but NK attacks first, then they're alone. I personally don't think anyone is stupid enough to be the first to be firing off nukes.
I also don't think the USA would be daft enough to use NUkes if NK did attack Guam somehow (non-nuclear). Would be sad day also that the only country to have used them...twice, would be the USA, the second time under the control of an assumed narcissist.

Need to remember it's the stupidity of the leaders rather than the people. WMD's will not pick and choose those that die.

It's a common tactic, constant sabre rattling means public attention is on international matters and not domestic. Trump's approval; rating is slow and Un's acting a god in an ever-increasing digital world, best to keep up the charade of nuclear war around the corner.

Because Sellafield wouldn't be a target?

If you're looking to cripple a country, you'd hit the power stations surely?

Sellafield is a small / medium sized gas powered station, not a nuclear one :D also Skegness is safe, it looks like it has been nuked in the past.

Anyway NK is a small backward country with a family of gangsters in charge. They only exist only for self aggrandisement, a weird godfather set up and to promote fear in the population. Proposing some sort of equality of morals with the rest of the world (including Donald Trump) is a fallacy. You only need to look at the soviet satellite states and Ceaucescu in Romania to get a feeling for an equivalent character. Thankfully he is dead and gone from the world.

Maybe Trumps bedside reading has been the 'JFK years' in the White House.

All power stations are fair game. The idea is to cripple the country and make it as hard as possible for any survivors. Sellafield is a nuclear fuel reprocessing site which might make a mess. Best ask Rroff.
