NR200 Owner's Thread

Is it really a big deal about those hairline scratches? Wont the thermal paste just fill up those voids anyways?
I guess so but shouldn’t a brand new cooler have a mirror shiny plate at arrival? Will the plate actually get new scratches once fitted?
I would appreciate any advice to see if it is worth returning it or not.

Yeah I know what you mean...visually it seems suspect. But functionally it shouldn't affect performance. And its not like you see it anyways. Though since you know it's there....if it bothers you...then replace it. =)

@Mmedrano I'm sure your temps with TG would be better if you had some intake fans at the bottom. Good to have another Fuma 2 data point though so thanks for that =)

I also think so but I returned those as they won't fit when I get a 3080 anyway. I'd also expect that with the thicker new GPU having its fans closer to the bottom they'll act more as air intake and the difference with the TG would be lower.
I'll ofc test both configurations when I have the new GPU.

Yeah I think I saw optimum tech test the MSI 3080 or 3090 and was able to fit slim fans under it still. Though like you said, maybe the GPU will be close enough that the extra fans will just add noise.

My NR200P was delivered today!

I know it is a SFF case and plenty of people posting on their desks and what not. But geez, this guy is compact. I'm so used to my Thermal Take Core V1 at ~22L. Need to clear some desk space to take some size comparison pics. Standard office pen for scale.

Now to wait for my PSU to arrive later this week and then transfer the 'guts'. Just not sure what to do with my (2) 3.5" HDDs at this point that store my media...looks like I'll need to buy that NAS device sooner than expected so I can have my media accessible. I really just want this PC to be M.2 storage only, no SATA drives...don't want that barnacle hanging off the side of the PSU bracket when I plan to run the TG panel.

I believe you are using the latest msi b550i so do the fuma 2 fits with the tempered glass panel?
did you face any issues with the fan above the fuma?

Yes the latest B550i, the TG panel doesn't fit ...
On my first build i had the Noctua fans on top after swapping them with the Fuma fans my CPU temp improves by 2 celsius

thank you for the feedback
I think it was wise to swap the fuma 2 fans, if you watched machines&more review he was able to oc the ryzen 7 3700x in this case only after he swapped the fans with the noctua nf-a12x25.
do you have any third fan laying around? if so could you please add it to the fuma and do some testing and comparison between using 2 noctua nf-a12x25 vs using them with an extra fan

I don't know why but both asus rog strix b450i and msi b450i can fit the fuma 2 with the tempered glass panel.
now i know from you that the msi b550i doesn't fit and I had ordered rog strix b550i and I will try to test and see if that one fits the fuma with the glass panel.

using a third fan on the fuma 2 is better than using 2 noctua nf-a12x25, can you please test this configuration
noctua nf-a12x25 on the front
scythe kaze flex 120mm×25mm on the middle
any 120mm on the back
sorry I am asking a lot but I guess you can help me unlock the fuma 2 counter rotation thing secret haha

I also swapped from a Core V1 to the NR200, welcome to the club! ;)
As for the HDDs, you can fit one of them on the PSU bracket if you don't want it to be on the side bracket. I had one that I use for backup mounted there, it's not connected because I couldn't bear the noise (and, actually, as it's only for backups it's better if it doesn't stay connected) but I'll manually plug it from time to time just to do a backup. I can easily recover it from the top, plug it to the cables at the front and then put it back in its place thanks to the tooless fixing mechanism:

Have you actually tested CPU temps with the Noctuas vs stock fans? I think I saw a review where they tried this and the stock fans were the best one for this cooler, and it looks like you could fit the Noctua at th top of the heatsink, no need for it to be a slim one.

You can't attach a 3rd fan to the Fuma 2 in the NR200. In the normal position (exhaust) the heatsink it's too close to the rear of the case and in this position (intake) the 24-pin cable gets in the way. At most you'd maybe be able to ghetto-mount a smaller fan, which would probably not be worth it. You can see some pictures of the gap between the PSU bracket and the Fuma 2 in intake position on my build: https://imgur.com/gallery/F4P3syB

This is my first build with Noctua on Top and Fuma with stock Fans before i swapped them.
As you see the Temps are much higher before i swapped the Fuma and Noctua Fans and also less noise.
To fit the Noctua i had to rotate the Fuma 180 degrees

you are right
I forgot about the 24 pin cable
