Nurse arrested for murdering babies

Friend still sticking by her she must have played them like a fiddle.

It’s an interesting hill to die on, that’s for sure. A few in here would fit into the same category.

Careful you’ll have Dialup on your case saying the media are now going after her friends.

If her friend chooses to speak out that’s up to her. If she maintains her friend is innocent that’s also up to her. It wouldn’t be the first case to end up being wrong.

I would strongly advise her to have not spoken out but she’s chosen to. No media hounding there. Aren’t you so disappointed your trolling failed to work?

(No I don’t think she’s innocent).

No, but I’m disappointed you continue to spout your nonsense in here.

Give it a couple of weeks and you’ll back in here talking about anonymity (again) and that the media are going after people with zero evidence. Round and round we go.

I get it, I had a similar situation.
I worked with a bloke for over two decades and knew his taste in porn which was normal hetero with lots of lingerie.
Even when Barely Legal & Cherry Poppers videos/CDs were being handed around he never showed interest and neither did I.
* These are categories of adult porn where they are made to look like children and are illegal because of that reason.
About 5 years after the factory shut down he got jailed for 12 months for having 1000 Cat A paedo pictures which are the worst kind.
It was very hard to take in because for 25 years we (as in loads of us) all knew each others business for decades.
There are still a couple of people who think he's totally innocent because they knew him inside out but after the trial I remembered some incidents such as "How do I completely wipe a hard drive?" and other stuff.
I also had a couple of people pointing a finger at me saying "You must have known" :(

I have an opinion that the criminals and their families should have the right to anonymity. You don't agree, that's fine. But all I have done is said my opinion.

I don't need to state it again, so let's agree to disagree and continue to discuss the case.

I've chopped a bit out.

So you honestly believe that we should never have known people like Fred & Rose West, Peter Sutcliffe, Ian Brady, Myra Hindley and so on?
The newspapers should have just reported "A person has been sentenced to life today for committing some murders" and left it at that?

Absolutely. That's my opinion and I am quite tired of having to re-state it. Let's agree to disagree and get back to talking about the case.

Why would you want to discuss any case where as far as you are concerned no details should ever be released? What about alerts for dangerous persons where the police release photos about who to stay away from / pictures where they are asking for more info? Where does your ridiculous stance about anonymity come into play in those situations?

"they" has been used as a singular pronoun in English for centuries. It's been used because it's useful to have an ungendered singular pronoun and using the existing ungendered plural pronoun worked well enough and was easier than trying to add a new pronoun. So that's what people have been doing for centuries. It's literally medieval and was used in works now regarded as classics. Chaucer used it. Shakespeare used it. It's very much not a recent thing.

To be honest I've used the terms all my life.
Only last night I was talking about an ex guitarist and without thinking said "They are no longer gigging" and a bit later said "I tried to phone them" so yes it's definitely been around a long time HOWEVER Sam Smith is using it in a different context.

Since Dialup believes we shouldn't mention the name of the murderer we might as well talk about something else.

OK made up scenario but what happens if his whole family are murdered.
When the Police say we have caught the killer would Dialup say "Don't tell me, just prosecute them in a closed court and keep the name from me, it isn't important" :)

Thats what I thought. You have no interest in learning, only clinging onto your provably false opinions... It really is sad...

In case you haven't noticed as well, this is a thread about a murderer. Perhaps keep your irrelevant phobias to yourself in here.

Honestly mate it might be easier to pop them on ignore, they're not here to talk about the case, just to derail the thread.
