Nvidia 30X0 series waterblocks

gone all out on air cooling +100 and +500 memory and scored the follwing :)

Good score mate, definitely right up there for aircooled. Definitely juice left in it if you can keep temps under control.

@Jay85 Gibbo announced today that they're shipping a fairly large amount of Inno3D cards, due by end of the month.
I literally punched the air with joy.
Congrats are in order! You can finally slap that block on you've had sitting about for so long. Really happy for you mate :)

Any updates on the Gigabyte compatible blocks for the 3080 gaming OC?
Not heard anything yet, last i checked on the EKWB website it was still on "coming soon"

I think the work around for the extension plugs will be taking abit longer than expected.

Got an update today for the 3080 i preordered, got from queue position 711 to 648 lol, won't be seeing it before Christmas this im 100% sure.

@Jay85 Do you even want it now you have the 3090?
tbh yes, i wanna see what kinda difference in performance is between the 2 with my own testing. Too much bias and skewed results go on these days so can't trust it. If honestly the difference is negligible i'll see the 3090 to someone on here and stick with the 3080. I'm still waiting on what AMD brings as well.

Or even sell the 3080 on here to some lucky person who might be 1xxx in the queue lol.

Honestly if it wasn't for the fact the vast majority of my cash is now tied up in getting the house decorated, gotta love decorating when you can't do it yourself anymore, I'd offer you a swap plus cash your way for it as it was the 3090 I wanted but tried to be sensible lol

haha! We'll see when and if this card turns up, i mean if it comes before xmas then bonus and i can make an informed decision based on my own results from there. Whens your 3080 due and which card did you order?

i can answer that having had the 3080 trinity to begin with, a week later the 3090 trinity was in stock so i nabbed it and sold on the 3080, performance wise i saw around 20fps more on avergae extra on the 3090 vs the 3080, so tbh not much diffrence both cards smash 4k and will have no issues at lower resolutions, ram wise the 3080 was sitting just over 8.5gb's in most games with settings at ultra at 4k and the 3090 was arund the same maybe a tad over 9gb but i feel happier now i have the larger ram buffer, i mean for upto 4k and no more the 3080 will be perfect for the average user and resolutiosn below the 3080 will smash everything.

if you demand the best and want future proofing then the 3090 makes more sence really, but you choose what you need over what you want

Having a look around on the evga forum im tempted to do the ram block mod on the back plate to cool the memory chips down abit more. Seems easy enough to do, just need to pick one that will look okay and fit. Even looked at a thread ripper block lol cos it will cover most of the backplate :D .

Thats the other thing, as drivers mature i can imagine the 3090 will pull ahead even more as i still think its driver locked for whatever reason. Ontop of that i've got a greater clocker of a card and with a higher power limit i can imagine even more potential being released.

I'm running a 1440p ultrawide 144hz at the moment and a 1080p 144hz as a secondary and it's a great setup. I'm definitely utilising the gpu but 4k would be the sweet spot for this card even though im churning out 144+fps easily for this setup.

I've already got my 3080, it's the Gigabyte Gaming OC and I think I got really lucky as I've got it clocked at +125 and +800 on the memory and sits happily at around 2040Mhz mark at around 50c max. Probably won't get much more out of it under water as I can't adjust the core voltage or increase the power limit without changing the vbios. The fans do an amazing job of keeping it cool but my god it is loud when at 100%

i run native 4k and the 3080 was a beast, around the 100 - 110fps maxed out and now i have the 3090 it's almsot maxing out at 144fps at 4k ultra in most games i play :)

Does your card have a 110% power limit? If it does i might try your vbios and see if i can push this even higher. I think Wookie or someone else tried a few bios's and got decent results.

No I've not changed the vbios yet so stuck at 100% as I don't wish to void the warranty atleast not untill I water block the card anyway.

i did flash my zotac 3090 but had weird results due to the card thinking it had a 3rd 8pin pcie cables so i reverted back, i have the gigabyte bios on standby so when i get my block i may try that bios instead as the giga card shares the same pcb and 2 8pin pcie plugs :)

one sec :) sent to Jay85 a few days ago but for public view now.

PLEASE NOTE I TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY IF YOU FLASH YOUR CARD WRONG, THE FOLLWING LINKS ARE TO BE USED AT YOUR OWN RISK, IF ANTHING GOES WRONG THERE ARE INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO FLASH BACK

first of you'll need the gigabyte vga bios which can be found here (max power target 110%)

https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/224963/gigabyte-rtx3090-24575-200904

next you'll also need nvflash 5.66.0 which can be had here

https://www.techpowerup.com/download/nvidia-nvflash/

lastly here is the link for the steps to flash your card

https://www.overclockersclub.com/guides/how_to_flash_rtx_bios/

follow all the steps as instructed in the walkthrough, if at any point up until the flash process you don't feel comfortable just exit and nothing will happen or flash over.

if any of the above links arn't allowed please let me know so i can remove them
