Nvidia 30X0 series waterblocks

Looking at the diagrams the power plug placement is wrong though and leaves me concerned in regards to the proprietary plugs. May have to wait for reviews on this.
mate if i get that eagle im scraping stock Gigabyte's xxxx box and DIY psu top pcb cable myself. Why would i want to have a box that is totally useless just adds extra problems with voltage supply.

3080 FE from EKWB available for preorder... for just €270! are they crazy or what, going to get alphacool instead for half the price

Yup pre order link here: https://www.ekwb.com/news/special-e...-blocks-for-nvidia-rtx-3080-fe-gpus-are-here/

Is a lot but dang those are by far nicest looking blocks. I got no option as I want the single slot profile the 3090 model will offer, i expect that one will top 300 Euros given the extra size

They are expensive, but boy, they do look amazing! When builds with these pop up on YouTube, I am not sure if I can resist. A lot is depending on what the RDNA2 review like for me now.

they are nice but honestly can't justify double the price over the alphacool one, plus I have the whole system on a testbench because won't fit inside the case until I get the waterblock, and don't really want to wait another month, alphacool should be available in 14 days

Just seen the email, not as bad as i thought it would be considering how expensive the Aquacomputer one is. However with all that in mind i think im gonna keep my 3090 and keep my order for the Aquacomputer block with the digital display connector and backplate active cooling.

It is mental to consider your over halfway the price of a RTX 3070 :p

To be frank I was expecting 300 Euros for the 3080 and 350 for the 3090, I think 3090 one will still get close to that!

I suppose its the price you pay for premium blocks, just have to see if it performs as good as it looks.

Ordered as well. Previously had Strix+block on preorders and this combo was still £150 more expensive than FE and this, what looks to be top quality block

Do you get much extra headroom out of the 3000 cards by watercooling? Currently got the 1080ti under water and it boosts quite a bit extra through reducing thermal throttling.

Just wondering if you get a similar benefit with the new cards?

It's not just thermal throttling, it's also more power available (fans +led not drawing it from a card).

For me personally, on air cooling i could barely manage +35 on the core.

On water i managed to max out around +180 on the core before i crash in port royal and time
Spy.

in gaming i can keep a +135 and +600mhz while maintaining 48c on the core.

This is on a 3090. My only concern with these blocks is the lack of cooling on the backplate in particular on the 3090 where the memory chips are located.

Apparently it has there biggest cooling engine to date, not sure what that will mean for actual results, gut feel not much over other models. That said does look like a whole hunk of metal there, so imagine that may also passively be able to radiate heat away from the card:

The water block is purpose-designed with an extremely thick copper base for high-performance, allowing it to clear all components of the densely-packed PCB and adding more heat removal capacity in the process. The cooling engine used in this water block is the largest EK has built to date, having roughly 30% more surface area than the rest of the existing Vector series water blocks.

They remind me heatkiller blocks from previous gen and the were top class. Hopefully here is the same
