NVIDIA 4000 Series

Exactly. That's what the marketing people over there are hoping many think

With how gullible people are, it wouldn't surprise me if people do fall for this.

More interested if they launch a 4090 ti super though or whatever the hell they end up calling it.

And cost £799 which is too much for what it is sadly. £599 would be the correct price.
Yeah we'd have gone from under performing and overpriced like the 40 series has been so far to just overpriced with the super series, its an improvement but to little to late imo.

The fact we are even getting a super series shows this gens been a failure like the 2000 series and the current cards are simply not good enough.

This one is the worst of the lot, what a terrible and confusing name.
I heard "TI Super" mentioned in a video, and thought they were just joking by mixing both names.

Someone got paid to come up with this name. There were probably meetings a long e-mail chains discussing it... :|

Though it wouldn't make some recent purchasers happy, they shouldn't bother with a 4070ti Super - kill off the 4070ti and stick the 4080 in its price slot and bring the 4080 Super in at about £1000 with 20GB VRAM. AKA what they should have done in the first place instead of the silly games with 2 different 4080s and then the 4070ti and silly pricing.

Eh you realise that PS5 is like over 30 million units and Xbox series is over 20 million? That's more people than that owns a 3060 and over.

I thought your argument was more people own GPUs better then consoles but the steam deck is not that.

PC gaming does well but not in the markets you are thinking about.

LOL
Valorant
WoW
DOTA

Run the show for PC gaming and people around the world don't see the need to go beyond a 1060.
Absolutely not. The calculation has been done many times using Steam userbase and hardware survey and PC users with PS5 equivalent and above GPUs are always more.

Entertain me, what's the equivalent to a PS5 GPU in discrete terms to you.

If there ever was 50 million plus people with GPUs above that then devs would care more about PC gamers i.e made first with it in mind but that's not the case.

Also you are going off assumed numbers but with consoles there are hard numbers to use.

The plan was to screw gamers into paying miner prices though even though crypto is dead.

The low and mid range did not get much of an uplift. This is why raising prices (and a bit of uproar) with little to show for that has been so obvious to the masses now.

If you had not had DLSS and FG bailing them out in supported games, it would be a disaster.

The PS5 GPU is equivalent to a 2070 super and nothing more and because it's weak CPU it can lose to very old PCs like hardwarenexus showcased in the past.

They do care hence the latest Unreal 5 games and RTX on PC only games like Alan Wake 2. Major publishers like Fromsoft, Ubisoft and Capcom consider PC as their main platform. Even Sony is now begging for some scraps.

Steam hardware survey and userbase numbers are far more accurate since they are active users. Plenty of unused PS5s collecting dust but are still counted, even broken ones.

ok im gonna link this here

your whole post now cant be taken seriously.

By the way, just for entertainment purposes, show me benchmarks and settings for Ratchet and clank on a 2070 super running at upto 4K resolution.

Also, you seem to believe PR very easily, thats never a good thing, they want you to buy their stuff so they will tell you stuff you want to hear, see how that works?

2070 super performance is basically equivalent in performance to a £300 4060 today so £400 for a console that matches it and is ready to go without spending anymore is very good, also your getting double the VRAM and BUS.

I'm not sure what this link is? I said Alan Wake 2 uses RT (Ray Tracing) only on PC.

No you show me evidence that PS5 Ratchet with the exact same settings and render resolution at the exact same frame runs better than a 2070 super. I've done the work before only to get no reply, not falling for that again.

Up to 4k? And you tell me I fall for PR? My 8800GTX from 2006 runs up to 4k if I look at an empty sky

Or a 2070 super for £150, stick it to any PC with Ryzen 2 and above. You cannot beat PC gaming even if you're on a tight budget if you're slightly savvy.
