NVIDIA 4000 Series

No mate, just 27".

Well, if you get the 4080 or 4090, if/when you get another monitor, you'll be able to drive it OK.

BTW, I highly recommend getting an UW panel, makes such a big difference to gaming, not to mention browsing, etc.

Yeh, nothing wrong with that card, only issue (for me) is the two year warranty.

The FE comes with three years.

That's what I thought, 4090 is going to serve me for years and years to come.

Is the one I linked above ok? Seems the cheapest.

I have done, though after years of owning guitars which were cheaper i wanted one which was a bit special so stumped up the higher cost. Some might consider a £4K guitar over the odds. In my case it really does depend on the hobby, how much time i spend on it and how much enjoyment i get out of it.
A guitar will work just as well in 10-20 years if well looked after as it is today, these GPUs however will have be chugging in 5 years and pretty much useless in 10.

Before I bought a 3090, at no time did I check the die size. Its an irrelevant statistic.

I bought it for 24gb and cuda. I wouldn't swap it for a 4080 super. As 16gb isn't enough.

I wonder how many of OCUKs check die size before a purchase. Yet on this forum its discussed ad infinitum.

No people just have an overall impression of whether something offers a good upgrade at a commensurate price, it is only when that doesn't feel to be the case people start comparing things like die size.

just picked up a 1200w ATX 3.0 PSU for my next build and to give me lots of headroom on graphics card options, i did almost get a 4090 but decided to wait.

Itch is still there though :(

Thanks for your help. Is 750w PSU definitely to low? I've seen one of the reviews saying they use a 750w with no problems but unsure.

Try it first.

Could always try undervolting, did that with my 3080 TIFE from day two.

If you do get/need a new PSU, do your research on the newer (yet to be released?) models with better connectors for Nvidia 4 series cards.

If I do buy the 4090 would I need to buy a special connector for my PSU?

I have this one.

I have this one.

The card comes with it's own (bulky) connector.

If you're interested in the aesthetics of your PC, you can get a dedicated Corsair cable.
