So nearly every partner card has three fans on the front, none on the back.

The FE is quite a unique design. Is it better or worse? Cost saving or actually really good? I'm wondering if it would be nosier because of its design or quieter.

Anyone got any insight?

As well as all the other replies, I do wonder if the one fan at the back design is trying to get some of the effect of the blowers. Blowers were popular with OEMs as they did exhaust all the air out the back, so they may have been trying to that idea with their FE versions.

Most reviewers with their open-bench are seldom able to answer those questions.

For the FE it is usually a few weeks, for the other models, it could be months. The TUF and the Strix blocks usually show up fairly early.
