NVIDIA 4000 Series

Not really. But you would be surprised oh the lol's in 2013(?) when the 290x was out and the blower design with its power consumption was the butt of all jokes.. somehow its not a problem when the mindshare is ok!

Electricity was scarcer then. I remember going to bed by candlelight to save enough power to run my PC.

Now? Can't move for electricity. The government are literally paying us to use it!

All in 4k too! But to get a little back on topic, I think the main issue for the 4000 series will be availability. The market is quite clearly there, but will there be enough at launch?

We all know the launch state of the 3000 series, but how did the 2000 series launch?

Part with you on that Bill.

However I think there might be some elastic pullback from the volume of punters getting/eventually getting 30 series cards that realise they dont need another expensive upgrade in a short space of time.

If the performance is a huge leap, or there are other features Ada has that previous gen's don't, then that's another story!

30 series launch we had COVID shutdown, mining boom . This time we don't have them so should be better ?

Less people looking to upgrade this time with now having cards ? And some overpaying

I'd have thought that the 4000 series would be better, but it's why I asked about a previous launch - the 3000 launch was the first launch I'd paid any attention too, so don't know how far off normality it is. I'm guessing plenty.

Supply was never the issue remember, it was demand! Up there with most ridiculous explanations I've heard...
