NVIDIA 4000 Series

I'd have thought that the 4000 series would be better, but it's why I asked about a previous launch - the 3000 launch was the first launch I'd paid any attention too, so don't know how far off normality it is. I'm guessing plenty.

Supply was never the issue remember, it was demand! Up there with most ridiculous explanations I've heard...
30 series launch wasn't normality because was during peak covid, mining taking off , more people at home due to lockdown

Also pascal upgraders and even maxwell tail end added to the perfect storm. I genuinely think Ada will have same interest as Turing had due to the timing (recession, burn-out, inflation prices etc.).

Rumour is September release date, I've not found anything concrete yet beyond a screengrab of an offer

I guess I should wait for the 4000 series? I have a 1080ti, and I can get a 3080ti.... but why get now when 4000 is coming?
Wait for the 4000 or the 3000 at a reduced price at or near the 4000 release date.

Some were saying they wouldn't run a 3080 on anything less than 850w due to the micro spikes, I don't know where we are with that now

That was related to some Seasonic PSUs as they had OCP set too low and would cause the PSU to shutdown. So step with care which PSU you buy if an older model or one that is known to have OCP set too low.
