@Noxia Im running an Corsair RM850x and just done some benchmarks and it hasn't missed a beat yet, according to GPUz it used at max 451w, but thats straight out the box with no playing with afterburner.

Cool, plus I got a 'basic' Zotac one so probs uses less maybe.. Going to follow the guidance about reducing power too. Do you get the cable you need with the card?

Why is everyone so bothered about 600w? do you really want to run your card drawing that amount of power? Debauer did a video that showed the 4090 running at around 350w and only losing about 5% perfomance. So surely going from 450w to 600w power draw won't get you the fps gains to warrant the extra power.

I also wonder why Nvidia didn't leave the power draw at about 350w if going to 450w only gains around 5%? Are they worried what AMD might bring to the table?
Not everyone is bothered about getting 600w – just those who haven't yet done the research and discovered that if they could push it up to 600w they might get an extra 2fps at the cost of hyper-loud maxed-out fans and enough heat to warm an aircraft hanger.

you need 4 pcie 8 pin cables from your psu connected to that 4 into 1 adapter that came with the gpu. is your psu atleast 850W?
you'll probably have to buy a few pcie cables and plug them into your psu, ready to be plugged into the gpu adapter. watch some youtube vids on cabling psu to gpu etc.
Ok, I see now. I have x2 8 pin pcie cables already in the machine that are connected to my 3090 but the the x2 cables seem to have daisy chaining connectors meaning i can in theory plug x4 connectors into the supplied 4 way splitter? Is it ok to daisy chain (using just x2 cables each with x2 8 pin connectors on) rather than having x4 seperate cables?
I have a Corsair HX1200 btw.

As you asked nicely!

Mine is going in an Evolv X, where it has plenty of room - but tried it in my family rig (O11 air mini) for you before I install it in the EvolvX. Fits easily, though have to remove the bottom fan mount!

Thank you very much, at least I know it'll fit!
I'm going to use it with a riser and probably the itx Strix board, depending on ryzen 7000 X3D performance

As has been shown by many videos now the 600W bios will gain you noting as these cards are voltage limited rather than power limited .... increase the power slider to max and it will very likely not even use 500w as it is Voltage limited , Debauer has a good video on this which i have linked below :)
