So my Corsair RM1000X PSU comes with 4 of these 8pin into dual 6+2 pin cables. Question is can I get away with just 2 of these cables on the 4 way adapter that comes with these cards or will that split the power to much and I'll need to use all 4 only using only 6+2 pin from each cable (if that makes sense?)

I wouldn’t use two. Three cables into the psu should be fine with one of them daisy chained into the forth connector of the 4090. Hope that makes sense.

i think 2 should be good because thats what corsair are recommending with their recently released 12vhpwr cable

Its not the connectors at the PSU end that are the issue, its the cables. They are good for 150w each. The new cables they are sending out have higher rated wiring.
I wouldn't use less than 3.

yeah it would be best to ask corssair tech support, but arent these rated for 25 amps?

I used 3 cables and just doubled up on one, i think i ran out of pci-e cables.

Not getting any where near 100 FPS ! I've selected 4k Ultra DSLL Quality and my max Fps is around 85 ... Also I do not see the Frame generation button I have seen others select on Youtube Videos , Any ideas ? I have the latest Driver.
It needs it, seems pretty poorly optimised all round but it is a looker.

Just google it you need to enable Hardware-Accelerated GPU in the main windows settings, Working now.
so have u installed your 4090 into your i7 8700K system? what do u think of it? do u think you're cpu bottlenecked?
Anyone got there dpd tracking working yet fro .todays oc orders? Mines still just giving me errors sure it should be good tomorrow just wondering.
According to Corsair the daisy chain ones should be fine with 2 there rated at 300 watt per cable I believe

Got lucky today - Decided to check the nvidia site at 1400 today for first time since last week, couldn't believe my eyes to see the green "add to Cart" - ordered and got the dispatch email at 1630Happy days!
