mm, I've found some others with the same issue, trying some chrome://flags to see if it fixes it. Only happens when chrome is running basically, especially when streaming video

chrome://flags/

Vulkan: enabled
Choose ANGLE graphics backend: OpenGL

no issues after about 4 hours playing streams

So u cannot use DLSS if your using DLSS Frame Generation

I thought u can use both

but settings on "A Plague Tale" lets you choose one or the other.

Edit:

DLSS on Quality gets 80-90 FPS
DLSS on Frame Generation gets 180-190 FPS (RTX4090)

@1440p Fully maxed

I will try on 4K later.

Frame Gen is a subset of DLSS, you can't use just Frame Gen without having DLSS on, but you should be able to use DLSS without Frame Gen - As per other games.

With DLSS on Quality with everything else Ultra I get around that fps too, if it's insanely busy then it's around the 80 mark, otherwise it's hovering around the 90-100fps mark. 3440x1440 but on a 3080 Ti.

God this is some card at 4k 120hz, tried out the new MW2 SP, A Plague Tale and BF2042 - there’s no need for DLSS getting 120 fps in them games with it off settings maxed. CP runs around 80fps lows on quality DLSS.

They sold the 3090 as being an 8k card, it couldn’t do 4k, the 4090 doesn’t break a sweat doing it.

3090 can do 4k

Even 3070 can do 4K at high or max settings but 50-60 fps. I need 120 fps and 4090 can deliver.

Also I need 4090 for MSAA or DSR for many old games with no proper AA built-in. STALKER, GTA 4, GTA 5, ETS2 and so on, all of them look amazing at 4K 48" OLED without annoying pixel shimmering but that costs performance so much.

My main concern when buying a new graphics card is silence so I think I'll buy Gigabyte Gaming OC or Windforce just because they have relatively small chance of coil whine. I don't care about stock fans just because I'm planning to replace them with Noctuas anyway :)

You got an 8k display?

3090 can do 4k

Name a AAA title with max setting since it’s release a 3090 can do 120hz in 4k

Bet Nvidia are wishing 8k monitors are a thing tbh to push their sales!! (I agree no need for them tbh, except professional).

Yeah that’s what they banked on before out’s release

It also has enough VRAM to be a 8K card too... :D

That’s the only thing it has

No, there isn’t a gpu to power one

I'm seeing regular 4090 stock notifications, but all hundreds over MSRP.
I dont think anyone is deliberatley starving the market, maybe they have a low yield for such a large die?
I saw some the other day on a big well known website i think they were Asus Tuff ones and they were imported from Europe because they wanted 400 pound import tax so they were 2400 quid.

I have pointed this out before about the lack of grunt even with the 3090.... haven't I @TNA :p ;) There are some titles where a 3090 can't even hold a locked 60 @ 4k either unless you use a lower preset of dlss or/and reduce settings.

3090 can do 4k

Can a 3080 10GB ?

Can 2 x 3090 in sli do 12K-16K ?

Guys knock it off even a 3060 can do 4K on most games... Lets not go down that rabbit hole again and enjoy the new gear/old gear we have and games available that have come out recently, been a few really good ones for the pc that came from the PS4/5 camp.

Wait 3060 has 12GB .. can a 3060ti or 3070 or 3070ti with 8GB do 4K or even a 3080 10GB ?.... Answer in spoiler...

There's been a "its only 10% faster" for the past couple of years.. then after the 4080/70 fail reveal a good chunk of them decided a 3080Ti calibre was actually about the spec you need. What lots seem to forget in all the noise and dribble is folk have been upgrading their displays like the AW OLED and realised that 10% and vram was actually handy. Just saying..

Oddly.. wasnt it some of the same faces that were saying "just turn down a setting or two" ?? Some have some goldfish memory I tell ya.

AW OLED is only 3440 x 1440P (21:9) geeze I ran a 980ti 6GB for years at that resolution and was amazing fun gaming on it. On a 30/40 series must be something else as even the entry 3060-3060ti is twice as fast as the 980ti was. I was never wanting then until I jumped to 5120 x 1440p (32:9) and was time for a GPU update.
