NVIDIA 4000 Series

As far as I've read, v-sync is NOT supported with FG at all, by NVIDIA. Yes, you can force it in drivers, but it causes horribly high latency:

That includes limiting frames in other ways as well. This apparently (as per few other testers) also includes g-sync, which doesn't seem to be working.
Aah that explains it cheers, I didn't know that, Hopefully we don't get the stuttering that happens in some games with Gsync on and Vsync off then with DLSS 3 titles.

I got a 4090 FE from the drop the other night , installed it today and seems to be having a compatibility issue as will no long show the boot to bios screen ( black screen ) and will only display once windows is loaded :rolleyes:I also have a Zotac 4090 ( needs to be rma , bad fan ) and that will boot up perfectly and will display the F2 to enter bios with the rog logo , new one does none of that . Any idea whats going on here ? I9-10900k on an Asus Z490 Formula XII Motherboard ... The new card itself seems to be a good one as from the short bit of testing i have done seems to boost as high as my zotac does which is around 3150Mhz and the memory seems to overcloack just as well , it does have a bit or coil whine where the zotac had none but had a noisy fan to make up for lack of coil whine  Just trying to sort out this issue why it wont display on bootup as currently the only way to enter bios now is through Windows recovery setting

yes both Strix and Zotac boot fine , just this FE that is having issue .... looking around online and seems i am not the only one, evga released a bios for their mb that sorted this issue so maybe i need to wait for Asus if no one has any ideas but why the hell does the zotac but the FE doesn't.

As far as I remember JayzTwoCents had same exact issue, but I haven't followed it closely, so no idea if and how he managed to resolve - it Likely new BIOS is needed.

Well I managed, mine cost me 200 quid more

£200 for 2 weeks,

To add I have to say its a fantastic card for msfs if you have the money
Yeah I bet but absolutely useless to me as I have zero idea where it is! Will be too late now but I have looked everywhere and couldn’t find it. Never was any good at the cryptic crossword!

Screen do you have? I only ask as my TUF does the same on a DP connect but on HDMI 2.1 it's fine (PG48UQ).

Wasn't there a very similar problem with some 30 series cards? An EDID issue IIRC.

I actually quite like the look of the Zotacs but I would still prefer an FE if possible. Realistically now though it’s better to wait and see what AMD bring to the table tomorrow.
