Please remember that any mention of competitors, hinting at competitors or offering to provide details of competitors will result in an account suspension. NVIDIA 4000 Series

They can price the Halo product however much they want to but dragging the rest of the stack up is just arrogant.
The whole Halo product concept is dumb and it's how you end up in this mess. There is no such thing as a Halo product.

There are reasonably priced products and overpriced products. Nvidia will still give you a £250 GPU it's just the performance will be poor which makes it an overpriced product even if it's cheap.

Everyone does it. Every TV company has a halo model. So does every car company. Every mobile phone company has tc

Now reduce that by another £500 and we will be at what they should have been priced at from the get go.

Seeing a bunch of people starting to post 4080 builds on reddit. People need to stop this right this instant. Prices need to drop to what these cards /should/. be at and you're not helping.

Tbf you have zero right to tell people how to spend their money, if they're not getting value then that's their fault for not doing due diligence.

If you could not detect the slight of sarcasm back up there then so help you :p

Obviously people can buy what they want, the gist of current train of thought here and everywhere else is along the lines of what that twitter thread is hinting at, do the rest of us a favour and simply hold off, the prices will drop as they have been already by a couple hundred Euros etc. ultimately then everybody wins.

I'd like to think that the 4080 reception would cause Nvidia to rethink their strategy and conclude that £1269 was too expensive.

However, Jensen and everyone at Nvidia towers are probably concluding that £1700 was too little for the 4090.

I think its incumbent on every PC gamer everywhere across the world to stop Jensen in the street and directly challenge him on price and profit margins.

If I were serving Jensen in any kind of hospitality bar, hotel, restaurant etc as a PC gamer I'd ask him to leave... let him sit on his pile of grubby gold and eat it

Jensens next move will probably be to discontinue the 4090 in the new year and replace it with a slightly faster 4090ti starting at $2000.
