NVIDIA 4000 Series

Seeing a bunch of people starting to post 4080 builds on reddit. People need to stop this right this instant. Prices need to drop to what these cards /should/. be at and you're not helping.

Problem is, we have people who have been protesting, and are now stuck on pascal cards, as they still waiting for the good old days.

I have observed Nvidia rotate between good/bad gens on pricing, and also good/bad gens on VRAM capacity.

So next gen 5000 series I expect closer to Ampere pricing, but also no VRAM uplift over this gen so a 5080 with 16 gigs for about £650-750.

End of this gen we will get the best prices this gen will see, so be patient. Either buy end of this gen or from 5000 series.

I'd like to think that the 4080 reception would cause Nvidia to rethink their strategy and conclude that £1269 was too expensive.

However, Jensen and everyone at Nvidia towers are probably concluding that £1700 was too little for the 4090.
Probably? He literally stated that a while ago, that 4090's price is too low and it's last time this happens. It's a gift for gamers! :P

But do people really need or want 16gb vram and RT cores? Put out a 4080 with 12gb Gddr6 (non x) vram and get rid of the RT crap to make the cards £500. Would sell like hot cakes.

I would buy a 4080 with no RT for under £700 but want the 16 gigs. VRAM requirements I suppose depends if you want visual quality or just higher frame rates.

Sadly it seems Nvidia have gone all in on RT.

These must be models/pornstars that the store is paying to take photos or something. We've seen several of these photos already all with the same thing - nerd holding a new Nvidia GPU going down an escalator and next to him a model/pornstar
If they're offering these kind of deals, I'm in.

What's her return policy?

Better he is holding a GPU than a 3.5 inch floppy disc

Jensens next move will probably be to discontinue the 4090 in the new year and replace it with a slightly faster 4090ti starting at $2000.

I bet NVIDIA are kicking themselves. There was clearly not enough of a price gap between the 4090 and the 4080. Jensen now thinks to make the 4080 more attractive the 4090 should have been $2500.

I've got a good deal for all of you to grab this Black Friday as it's free :-

STAR WARS™: Squadrons

Go grab it if you don't own it on EPIC GAMES.

As you are all on here and hardly in the pc codes giveaways section of the forums, fun game for you guys/girls to enjoy on the holiday periods.

AND best part you don't need a 4000 series card to enjoy it  .

why 16gb though surely 12gb is more than enough? I'm not aware of any games that uses this amount of vram
