**Nvidia G-Sync owners thread**

I'd be fairly certain it would just act as any other 4K TN 1ms monitor thats on the market, likewise I would think and AMD user could buy the swift and enjoy 1440p @ 144hz.

I don't think Nvidia would be so fickle as to block AMD cards from using their primary resolution and refresh rates :)

I didn't think AMD cards could do 144Hz, thought they had to do 120Hz? Or was that just the 7000 series and older?

Im sure it would be a lawsuit on the spot if it were actually so :P, since it doesnt say "only works with nvidia hardware" on the box.

Can't say I ever noticed tearing bud but that's not to say it wasn't doing it. I will have a play later after work and see what is what.

Hi Greg it seems to be working properly now:) BF4 refresh rate was showing 120-120.5 and now it's showing 119.98 which is what it should be on.

Before I posted I uninstalled / re-installed but no change then I post my question to you then that evening it works  I'm sure my PC is self aware :D

I've always known about this but never been bothered to try but boy which I had done this mod sooner, does make a difference.

Question about G-Sync, I run my games at 120fps would g-sync still benefit this? Or is there more benefit from running games at 60fps.

Thanks.

Hey Ashman, As I have not tried G-Sync out yet (waiting on my pre-order of the Acer 4K screen), the guys who are using G-Sync now would be your best answer and James has had it for quite some time now :)

Asus ROG Swift monitor ordered, very excited :D

I'm soooo jealou....pleased for you:o:D

Are G-Sync wannabe owners allowed to post in this thread Gregster?:D

The Asus was what I'd hoped to go for but the Acer seems like a great monitor.

Is it that the Acer is 4K that swayed you over the Asus Gregster? :)

I see G-sync in my future but I'm undecided on manufacturer, price will probably be the deciding factor for me though.

Of course bud and genuine questions for sure. It turned into a slating match and that wasn't the idea of the thread.

For me it was the price of the swift combined with the timing of the Acer 4k pre-order and its price in contrast. Once I'd worked out how much we were paying in USD vs the yanks we were paying over $400 more. Though I feel a little remorse now having seen all the glowing reviews of the swift, I'm sure that will change when my Acer arrives :)

Tbh I didn't expect to see a 4k gsync monitor out so soon either, let alone it being so cheap!

Got mine on order too, can't wait.

Added to the OP :)

@ Ash - G-Sync and my enjoyment of 4K gaming was what swayed me. When you play games like Tomb Raider at 4K, it is just jaw droppingly good. I ordered the Acer 4K screen the day after it went live on pre-orders and can't wait (as I guess we all can't).

Having gamed at 4K, I found it hard to go back but still reckon I will be playing BF4 at 1080P, as I am bad enough at that res and 4K I couldn't get a decent mouse DPI and was just missing everybody badly.
