**Nvidia G-Sync owners thread**

Set 120Hz for desktop
Set G-Sync in the NCP
Set V-Sync in the NCP
Don't set V-Sync in games

That's it. Don't worry about setting frame limiters or anything else as it caps to 143.5 and that keeps you within G-Sync parameters

Bloody hell, has it changed again lol

I set 135fps in RTSS, Gsync on, Vsync off.

Will try those settings tonight and see how I get on.

Wonder if we will ever get a fix for the 144Hz desktop issue.

120 desktop here, but once you start a game it hits 144. I only found out about it on here recently. Never even noticed the card clocks were higher as temps were the same as they are now at 120Hz.

iirc nvidia sorted that issue in a recent driver update. Was no big issue Tbh, set desktop to 120hz, job done.

It was an issue specific to 1440/144.

I bought this monitor the first day of release and 144hz worked perfect at desktop for a few months then after a driver update (can't remember which one) GPU mhz shot up and temps went up from 30c to 50c. What they did to mess it up I don't know, but it's never been the same since that day. Yes going down 120 desktop fixes the issue, but why should I have to do this?

Hi all,

Only recently got back into PC Gaming and bought a AOC G2460 with G-Sync to couple with a new I5 4690k/GTX 970 (cooler edition) build.

I've had a glance back over this thread to get some better setup advice in terms of colour setup.

On my travels elsewhere, there still seems to be an ongoing argument about VSYNC being on or off and the issue of capping framerate.

Is there a definitive answer anywhere - i appreciate people have their own opinions, but what are the facts?

Also - Skyrim. If I don't limit the frames I get massive artifacts and glitches. Also, if I run above 1080, I get a severe slow-down and input lag. Any thoughts would be great.

Cheers

Leave the Nvidia control panel at default settings. Don't worry about frame limits because a 970 isn't going to push your monitor past 144Hz very often. Switch Vsync off in-game.

Limit Skyrim to 60fps, as it's bugged at higher rates.

This is the issue I have too hence why I leave the desktop at 120Hz, Wish Nvidia would fix this.
